Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandRoom is small and pretty basic. The only easily accessible power outlet is near the bed. Shower cabin without a door, hence wet floor. Hot water temperature is limited in peak hours. The toilet flush was not very reliable in terms of efficiency.
The room was relatively clean. The heating works. Free tea in the lobby. The staff at the reception was very helpful, they provided me with a spare key to the room when I forgot mine at my friend's.

If you need to go to the airport early in the morning, the location is excellent! I arrived late, it was not a problem, receptionist was very kind. I could even see a piece of the Bosphorus from the window of my room. It's nice that there was water in the refrigerator

TurkeyCoffee is not actually a coffee there but a surrogate of it. Perhaps put a vending machine instead in the entrance hall. Room had 2 beds with 1 for two persons, so not much space left. Perhaps remove a bed if one person stays.
Clean room, hot water, good value for the money, great location. 24/7 check in / check out.

ItalyThe hotel is in a great location, 10 minutes walk from Kadikoy ferry terminal and metro station. The same metro line gets you to and from Sabiha Gokcen airport in a hour so it can be very convenient if you are flying from / to there. Moreover, Kadikoy is a the best place to stay, far from the horrible crowd of tourists on the European side and still a very lively neighbourhood plenty of coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The majority of people around are young locals and the atmosphere is very relaxed, especially in the morning, where everything is calm and quiet but still populated and happy.

TurkeyThe pillows weren't very comfortable, and the room was a bit shabby.
This is a basic accomodation option in Kadykoy, quite good for this price. The location is overall good - a walking distance from the metro, Marmara and the ferry terminal.

United KingdomThere was nothing I disliked.
I was very satisfied with my five night stay at this hotel, and would certainly consider staying there again, as I thought it offered excellent value for money. I also liked the location, just a short walk from the Kadiköy ferry, 'bus and metro stations; there is a direct link from the metro station to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport, and it takes just 20 minutes to cross to the European side of the Bosphorus. My room on the first floor was absolutely fine (there is a lift if you need it). The bed was most comfortable, there was plenty of hanging and storage space, a small fridge and a solid desk and chair, and wi-fi connectivity was great. Hot water was always available, and water pressure in the shower was very good. My room was cleaned every day. Tea, coffee and cakes are available round the clock in the lobby. I found the staff on the reception desk to be very courteous and pleasant. There are two decent supermarkets just round the corner, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants.

Very good service, helpful and kind. Great location v close to the Bosphorus. Easy to get to European side on the ferry ⛴️ Would come to clean the room everyday. Has a lift great if you're on the top floors. Bosphorus across the road, was nice to sit of an evening and watch the boats and take in the view.

Excellent location, very friendly staff, good price/quality ratio. This is my second time I was staying here, and they upgraded my room to a bigger one, which I liked

BelarusThere is no great view from a window (the hotel is located on a side street). However, you can hear romantic sounds of sea vessels that make you feel like you are indeed right on the Bosphorus shore)
Everything was exactly as per the description. Clean and warm. Nice location just near the ferry station. It takes like $2 and less than half an hour to get to the European part of the nice town of Istanbul near all the main tourist attractions (Haya Sophia, Blue Mosque etc..). There are lot of nice cafes and diners just beside the corner. Also, there is very convenient and cheap transfer by Havabus from Gokchen Airport right to the bus station opposite to the hotel. The bus departs every 30 min, so there is no need to take an expensive taxi ride from/to the airport. The hotel portier was also helpful and hospital.

RussiaIt would be great if there was a kettle in the room.
Location is on the Asian side, but very close to Metro, port and train station (5 min), 9 min to Marmaray and large Mall. There are a lot of small cafes nearby, the hotel is just 20 m from a busy street, but since it's off the road, it's not noisy. Rooms are small, but clean. WiFi is Ok, bathroom is good, I liked the shower hand.

RomaniaAlthough the hotel was clean there was a bad smell on the hallway and in the elevator, and the room was rather dark as the window was small, had to turn on the light even during the day.
The location was very convenient with easy access to various means of transport, including the ferry for the European part of Istanbul, the room was cleaned daily, towels changed every day.
