The loudness at the corridor and the indication that the rooms are sound protected while they are completely not sound free; too tiny elevators where it is hard to fit a pushchair and suitcases, not really a good labelling the allergens at the restaurant for breakfast.

The only think we didn't like was the somewhat crackly mattress cover. We understand the need to protect the mattress from sweat and other bodily fluids, but there might be better alternatives. Apart from that, the bed was comfortable and bed linen sparkling clean.

We liked the opportunity to prepare simple food in the kitchenette. We didn't cook, but the hob and microwave were available. There was everything we needed for a week's stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to metro and buses and near one of Barcelona's 'low-traffic neighbourhoods' so you can wander without traffic noise. There are places to eat nearby, and a good supermarket right next door. Also a butcher, a fishmonger and greengrocers. We also had BBC TV News 24h, which many Spanish hotels don't have.

General standards within the apartment were low. Bathroom was very poor, broken and deteriorating. Large terrace/balcony was far from large. Not really big enough to sit out on.

Beds were very firm. Fine for a few days by the fourth night my back could no longer hack it. Pillows were very high and uncomfortable. Bathroom was OK, not thoroughly clean but they had a basic cleanliness, sometimes hairs found in bathroom, bath was a bit small but it was nice to have. Enough to get by.

Bathroom in need of a makeover.

Position. Friendly and helpful staff , easy check in/out. Relatively Cheapskate compared to other options. Good places to eat nearby (highly recommend "la gastronomica" for dinner) and very handy for public transport

It was great- not super swanky or anything but did the job well and was clean. Noise travels through floors like all Spanish apartment blocks Of that age… no biggie though- road was quiet.

Really spacious rooms for a family of 4. Great friendly and safe neighbourhood. Supermarket (mercadona) next door and cute cafes and bakery steps away.

The communal areas are rather functional looking, but this does not affect the rooms. The family room had a double sofa bed and 2 singles, but the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable.

Well-located hotel with friendly and accommodating reception staff. Kitchen was well-equipped so it is possible to eat in: there is a supermarket next door. Great choice at breakfast. Luggage room was useful. Parking is available (paid for) if required.

The property provided all the basics. The bathroom can be updated and the flooring in the hallway and the kitchen could be updated. The renovated flooring in the bedroom is nice. If the owner has time in the future, updating the flooring in the hallway, kitchen and the bathroom will make the property look even more attractive.

The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Barcelona within close walking distance to attractions and main transport hubs. I was there with my mother and daughter and felt perfectly safe walking in the evenings in the neighborhood. The hotel staff is kind, efficient and ready to help with whatever need. The decor is a little dated but everything is clean and they are well staffed and very friendly. We would gladly stay again. It is perfect for families or individuals that have high standards but are also traveling on a fixed budget.

The bed was too small and the shower was too old and not user friendly especially for the kids. The receptionist sold us a ticket for the hop on hop bus for a child that was supposed to be free and didn’t get the refund.

The location was very good, near a great coffeehouse and two supermarkets.

We needed an accessible bathroom for one member of our party but the only rooms with walk-in showers were on the 8th floor and the lift only went to the 7th. If he wasn't able to manage the flight of stairs, he would have been in a room where he couldn't wash himself properly. There should be at least 1 room per floor with a walk- in shower. We had requested an accessible bathroom in our initial booking but we were never told that it wasn't possible without taking some stairs.

Rooms were clean and well proportioned. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good.

Would be lovely to have basic household items like salt and pepper, washing up liquid, handwash, etc in the kitchen and a small bottle of milk for tea/ coffee.

Location was perfect. Close to tourist attractions and amenities, right next to a large supermarket and an organic shop together with so many little cafes. Hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing. My daughter left her phone in the taxi on the first day and the manager of the hotel helped us to reach the driver and we got our phone back! Thank you so much!
