Its location is close to the city center and a newly and pleasant developed shopping center. The room is clean and the bed is firm. We were impressed that the gentleman took us to the airport around 1:40am as promised very prompt.

I booked this for a one night stay after a flight that got in late at night as it is located so conveniently close to the airport. However, I ended up being ill that night and the next day and so extended my stay one night. Im so glad I did - as others have said, Katty is an amazing host - she is SO kind and went above and beyond to help me. She looked after me like I was family- bringing me tea in bed, making me soup, giving me medicine etc. and quite literally nursing me back to health. The warm shower was also appreciated, and she brought a fan to my room when I was too hot with a fever. Couldn’t have asked for more - thank you my Costa Rican mama!

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Rio Celeste Backpackers is situated in Bijagua, 42 km from Liberia. I loved the house, the dorm, the garden, the breakfast was absolutely deliciuous and the host was charming, helpful and an adorable person

Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. The property is so close to the airport so it is convenient for travelers taking flights the next day. The bathrooms were super clean and the dorms as well. They have a food truck on-site. Personal fans in every bed and my bed itself was really comfortable. The staff is some of the sweetest and most helpful I've had in central America. Nice, well equipped, large kitchen. There's a TT table for those who play. All the common areas being in one place ensures that it's pretty social but not in a loud way. Very easy to make friends and talk to people, find others to plan activities together etc.
