Hotel Okura Kyoto Okazaki Bettei -Age Requirement 12 over- heeft een fitnesscentrum, een tuin, een restaurant en een bar in Kyoto. Loved it all, the staff, rooms that were perfectly clean to afternoon complimentary drinks. Would recommend but it is a short bus ride to city which is absolutely no problem as bus is across road and come frequently.

Giappo Franca Kyoto is gunstig gelegen in de wijk Sakyo (Speciale Wijk) in Kyoto, en bevindt zich op minder dan 1 km van Shorenin-tempel, 14 minuten lopen van Heian-schrijn en 1,2 km van station Gion... Felt at home as this is not a chain hotel so the staff were kind and polite, but seemed friendlier and intimate. They have a large manga section that sets the "homey" atmosphere, and they have many recommendations/booklets about restaurants, activities, and sights around Kyoto for that month. This was in a location that is somewhat off the road but if you're okay with walking an extra 5 minutes, then it's a great place to be. The bus stop from Kyoto Station to Ginkakuji Temple is located nearby and situated in a way where you can avoid some of the crowds awaiting the bus near Gion. The Sanjo strip of activities/shops that leads into the Nishiki market is a fun day activity. Furthermore, the Sanjo station is nearby if you want to take the Keihan Main line all the way down to Osaka for the day (43 mins).

Before starting the trip, tadashi-san got really involved with us and helped us with all our questions. He was really kind and helpful. His guesthouse is incredible, an authentic ryokan experience. Please if you are going to stay in Tadashi's guesthouse be polite and kind, he is a really good person and he will help you with everything. His wife Yuki-san is also lovely!

Guest House Nishimura - Vacation STAY 13436 is gelegen op minder dan 1 km van Heian-schrijn en 14 minuten lopen van Tempel Eikan-do Zenrin-ji, en biedt kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde... The hosts were the nicest and most welcoming people. The husband dropped us off at the train station in the morning. Room had a view ok the local temple and facilities were very clean. Calm area, nice to get away from the tourist chaos. I highly recommend this guest house.
