Great view from our room overlooking the water. There are 2 pools overlooking the sea - kiddie pool and regular - both very nice. Very good breakfast selection.

The property is beautiful. Lovely rooms maintaining the historic appearance but with modern comfort. The restaurant was wonderful. All of the staff were helpful and friendly.

We knew it was a little worn but it was charming. The rooms were large;the bath/shower was nice. The ceiling were high and we had a window. The gardens are fun to walk. The pool looked attractive but we didn’t have time. The location was right down the street.

Decent place for a short stay around the city-area. Clean rooms and a big parking area to leave your car. Excellent view from the balcony and really quiet place to enjoy your sleep. A super market and dinning selections are very close , about a 2 minutes walk.

The shower was wonderful and romantic. It was a double shower with two heads, one for each person and had mood lighting. Emanuele, our host was super kind.

The ruins were fantastic.
The ruins were fantastic. There is also the Teatro Antico, which is still underground. We missed out on this as we didn't find out about it until we got there. They only admit small groups at a time and it was fully booked. Tickets are available from the Herculaneum entrance or on the Ticket One website, so you really need to book on advance. There is a virtual Archaeological museum in the town. This includes a short 3D film about Vesuvius, the opportunity to fly a virtual drone and a VR experience of walking round one of the palace gardens. Ideal for kids and teens! The museum is screen based about Herculaneum ruins and does not include actual discoveries from the site.
For visiting the surrounding areas, trains into Naples are regular, as are trains to Pompeii (but you have to change - the ticket man didn't tell us this!). Don't miss the chance to wander round the actual town of Pompei. It was beautiful! In fact, next time I would choose to stay there over Ercolano or Naples!

My grandchild suggests we would have been better staying in Pompeii and travelling to Ercolano one day. I had decided to follow what my neighbour suggested, based on taking a younger child to southern Italy.

We spent one night in Ercolano to visit the ruins of Herculaneum and break up our trip to the Amalfi Coast. The ruins are a must-see and you can experience authentic Naples pizza at RO.VI. We also enjoyed espresso and drinks at the Herculaneum Cafe. I'm not sure what you'd do here for more than a day or two, but the ruins and authentic cuisine were definitely worth our time!

The apartment was very nice and people of Ercolano very friendly. They really drive like crazy, but that is their way of life. Train station is really near the apartment and best option to reach Napoli, Pompei, Sorrento...

Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen...
Ercolano is a small town nearby Vesuvio, which can be seen from most everywhere, Naples bay also is lovely and is seen from most of the places in the town. You can easily find nice fish, pizza, fast food and traditional local restaurants in 10-15 min walk. There is a nice but small botanical garden in the territory of the local university. They also have a park of mandarins/tangerines which you can pick up for free.
The ruins of Ercolano/Herculaneum exceeded our expectations! It is not overcrowded as Pompei, the territory you can walk through in 1-1.5 hours, moreover, some buildings are in better condition ... we liked it.
We had a great time at Pepe’s place and he is definitely the best host we have ever met! He was always extremely helpful and showed us many places around unknown for tourists. The apartment is at great location, very easy to get around and with walking distance to bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again! We loved our trip to Ercolano and Napoli! The apartment is about 5min walk to beautiful beach. There is a big shop 10m from this apartment. We love this place!
Very clean facility, accommodating host, useful information on sightseeing.
Mr. Libberatto clearly loves doing this kind of job, warm person, very open to us.
In only a few days because the train station was near the house we were able to visit a lot.
Nearby fruit booth, store, caffé, pizzeria and restaurant with good food (Casa in Campania).
Besides Vesuvius, Pompei etc. I recommend in Ercolano: Herculaneum (Ercolano Scavi), Palazzo dei Corali.
The apartment was a part of an old XIX-th century villa. The localization was great! Only 2 min walking from ruins of Ercolano, 8 min from Ercolano Scavi Station, 15 min walking from the nearest, small beach. The room itself was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. But what I liked the most was our wonderful host, who gave us so many advices on what to see, where to eat etc. and was constantly available to answer all of my questions!
This apartment is a great place to stay in Ercolano.
It's located a 10 minute walk from the Ercolano Scavi train station, convenient for reaching Naples and Pompeii. Herculaneum is literally two minutes from the apartment.
The owner was so welcoming and nice, she made sure I had a good stay and was always available for any questions.
There's a some breakfast snacks available and a coffee machine as well as a fully equipped kitchen.
We really appreciated the host who was always keen on helping us and sharing some tips about nearby areas to visit. The house with its beautiful garden is located in the calm part of Ercolano (approximately 5 minutes uphill from the train station Miglio D'Oro). The room was clean, well-equipped and spacious. The bed was comfy, but too soft, which is not a problem if you are used to sleeping on a soft mattress.
You could not get a better location if visiting Herculaneum Archaeological site as literally across the road. Had some nice little eateries around. The staff and locals were very friendly and hotel was clean. Shower was nice and big. Breakfast was nice. Hotel really does need a sprucing up, as the other reviews mention. We stayed for 2 nights, which was enough.
The apartment is clean and tidy, good air conditioning and nice bathroom. Small balcony outside with a side view of the sea and Mount Vesuvius. We did not see much of the owner or the cleaner but happy to be left alone. If we needed anything we just asked. Close to the ruins of Herculaneum. Twenty minute walk to the nearest train station
The hosts were lovely! The room was clean & spacious and the AC was very welcome! The roof terrace was a wonderful place to eat breakfast or enjoy an afternoon drink and look out over the ocean. Great location near Herculeum ruins, train station to Naples or Pompeii, walkable to restaurants; got a cool sense of the local town life
If you want to stay close to Ercolano archeological site, some restaurants and the Vesuvio, this can provide a very good location to you. Luigi offered airport transfer service for €40, which we accepted and are very thankful for. However, you can take the Circumvesuviana train line to arrive there at a cost of €2,40 per person.
The apartment is very clean and has all facilities. The kitchen is very well equipped but a cutting board is missing. Beds are comfortable. it is quite and closed to the train station. But if you want to take trains to Pompeii you might have to change the train at Ercolano Scavi which is about 15 min walk from the apartment.
the facility and surrounding grounds were impeccable. great decor and a most peaceful setting. Dinner at the restaurant was off-the-charts. of our 18 days on vacation in Italy, then a cruise including Turkiye and Greece, this meal stood out as one of the finest in all areas - food, presentation, AND service. Hat's off!
Easy to access by car. In walking distance for the ercolano ruins. Nice terraces with a view to the Vesuvius.
Historical building with very nice design rooms in a modern style staff was friendly and the breakfast very good.
If you have a car its easy to park as there is a big parking just in front for free.
Teresa, Gaia, Giuseppe... what wonderful hosts!
The place is newly renovated and everything is well organized, nicely placed, practical for the key management.
Also, the location is perfect to move around Ercolano and go to the Archeological area.
Nice super clean spacious room with a side seaview.!
Warm large swimming pools and good pool bar .
Delicious food and attentive staff at Hotel restaurant!
Very nice and polite Staff all understanding English
The best place for staying. Close to archeological park. Private partaking, great rooms in a pseudo retro style, we had a lovely morning breakfast served to us near our rooms in an adjacent hall. Lovely
The property was beautifully furnished. it was a lovely room and the family were very welcoming and helpful. It was very well located near the Herculaneum ruins
