They even have puzzle game in your room for killing time. Food 11/10 : Both dinner and breakfast is superb. Facility 11/10 : The real onsen hotel. The highlight of the stay is in the hot spring bath. If you don't want to join the public bath, the private onsen can also be rent for a family or couple to have good time together. Hot spring footbath on the roof top is incredible. Lobby also got leisure area where you can enjoy complementary drink. Lobby got wine testing machine. (Buy prepaid card at the reception) Location 10/10 : The location is pretty comfortable with plenty of shop and convenient store in walking distance. Also near carpark.

Boasting views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi for all rooms and hot-spring baths, Hotel Asafuji provides air-conditioned Japanese-style rooms with a green tea set. Lovely hotel! Had a shuttle car take me from the train station. Getting around the lake from there is very nice, either with bus, or your own transportation method. The staff were really nice! The breakfast and dinner were both excellent and big traditional services. My room was very nice with a lovely view. I also used the public bath and it was lovely, looks nice, great view, well maintained and clean.

Luxurious ryokan Fuji Onsenji Yumedono is located just 500 metres from Lake Kawaguchiko. Great traditional Japanese style tatami room. It was clean, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff were great, and the food was amazing. Private outdoor bath was an amazing experience. 10/10 will return one day

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. This was our third stay here. It is just lovely. Spotlessly clean which is a bit of a feat in a 100 year old building with lots of nooks and crannies. Friendly staff. Good location in the centre of town. Great atmosphere and of course the wonderful onsen to soak out one's jetlag.

Situated 1.5 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in Takayama, boasting a garden, a shared lounge and private parking. the staff is great and the service is exceptional. exceeded all of our expectations.

Atami Sekaie is set in Atami, 2.6 km from Atami Sun Beach, 25 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, as well as 35 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. Everything! The staff were so polite and welcoming. The welcome seating and drink while staff helped us check in was so pleasant, our own personal staff to show us to our room, the beautiful room with all the little details or amenities, our own traditional Yakuta to wear to meals, the private onsen and peaceful nature of the ocean view. Everything was amazing!!

Located in Oshino and only 10 km from Fuji-Q Highland, 八海 木花館 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The location and the view of Mt Fuji at the property was just spectacular. The food and service was impeccable. Nina Lin was sharing with us all the great spots to take photos of Mt Fuji and we really enjoyed our conversations with her. The other older lady was very helpful and hospitable as well and we can't praise them enough for making our stay so memorable!

Situated in Atami in the Shizuoka region with Atami Sun Beach nearby, SOKI ATAMI features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. Location is a little out of town, definitely need a car, but loads of parking. SO well designed, just perfect

Offering a shared lounge and quiet street view, Toraya is set in Gero, 48 km from Takayama Station and 49 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. loved this hotel. room was so lovely. the interior of hotel is so well designed and lovely. calming place to walk into. close to everything in town centrally located. Comfy futon style beds
