To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location was good, clean as always. I can’t really say much as I was only there long enough to sleep and shower, we didn’t even get breakfast.

United States of AmericaWhen I first arrived to the hotel around 4:30 p.m the person (Garth) at the front desk gave me the key to a room on the third floor on the very end of the hall(303), that didn't work. After we had taken all our luggage to this room. I had to go back to the front desk to ask for another room key and a room on the first floor. I put in my accommodation for a walk-in shower and I didn't get it. Thank God I didn't fall getting out that tub/shower. After I ask for a room on the first floor everything was alright except the fitted sheet did not fit the bed, so we slept ok.
I didn't eat any breakfast. I only wanted coffee. The coffee area was very clean and the coffee was good as always.

United States of AmericaI contacted the hotel in advance the week before (and commented in my original scheduling) to request joined rooms bc we have a large family and need to be close, on arrival the rooms were on different floors and sides of the building. The desk rep did try to fix it and placed up as close as possible, which was 2 rooms and an elevator away.
Very clean and convenient location. Pool was nice and plenty of towels.

United States of AmericaThe elevator in the hotel wasn't working, yes, I understand that it is a possibility that things break. However, my co-worker has a hard time with stairs and when I asked the person at the desk he showed no interest at all in trying to help us with any type of solution. He straight out said "The elevator is broken", which I already knew. The person at the counter didn't even apologize or offer a discount or anything at all. I do love Hampton Hotels, I believe they are the best and when I travel I plan to stay at Hampton. This visit though was very disappointing especially when you chose Hamtom over what my company offered me.
As always, very clean, the rooms are great, have 2 beds and the breakfast is THE BEST!!

United States of AmericaThe elevator was not working. We were originally given keys to a room. When we went inside, the room was already occupied. We went back and got new keys and a new room number. There were no water fountains anywhere. The water temperature in the shower was very sensitive and difficult to find an in-between between very cold and very hot. The provided lotion smelled bad. There was not enough lighting in the room.
The employee who checked us in was very friendly and apologetic when a mistake was made. Breakfast was pretty good. Our (correct) room was clean and comfortable.

United States of AmericaUpon our arrival we were informed that the internet was not working and the television was not working. This continued to remain this way for a few hours. We were never given a courtesy call or notice as to when the service was fixed. We had to keep checking for the service multiple time throughout our stay. It was an inconvenience. We were never given an accommodation nor a credit for our inconvenience.
