Staff knock on the door every evening to see if they can refill the items in your room for the continental breakfast, muffin, juice, coffee pods. The sink in the bathroom has no room for toiletires.

I wish the bathroom was bigger because it had almost no space around once you enter the shower and I'm a petite person. Also, the breakfast is blah,the leave some fruit,muffin and yogurt in the room.q

The location is awesome,it's a unique motel build in 1937ish and is charming. The room was comfortable.

The AC unit was in one room, so if it was hot out, then it might be hard to keep the entire unit cool. They use "real" keys, which as an extra thing to keep track of. Neither was horrible.

Great location and room set-up for a group or people who can use their own space. We had two bedrooms, each with their own TV and the bathing facilities in the middle. Staff was nice, delivered bfast options to the room, and the room itself have good amenities. Within walking distance of a grocery store and downtown. I'd highly recommend.

Great location close to Mount Rushmore. Small breakfast was provided even though we had not booked the room with breakfast. The room was nice even though it was small.

The Custer Chalet Motel is an excellent stop for the night and was a very welcome change for my wife and I who had spent the previous few nights in traditional hotels. Each chalet feels very private and had everything we needed. The staff were all very friendly and it was easy to see they cared deeply about the facility and the guests, we felt extremely welcome during our visit. We also appreciated the location of the motel, you are mere blocks away from the main streets of Custer so dining options were abundant. We would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!

The only downside was the small bathroom but not a deal breaker. For extended stays a microwave would be nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. This was a very convenient location. I liked the separate cabins. It really cut down on hearing other guests. Very friendly staff!

Hot water was slow in coming - had to run the water awhile but not a big deal! (other than wasting water). Would have liked to have a key drop off at the reception area.

Dog friendly. Clean rooms. Receptionist was helpful and friendly. Internet included. Easy parking. Quiet location. Easy walking distance to the main strip.

We were put in a back unit and I couldn’t walk around the bed, I had to crawl in the bottom of bed. When one has to get up in middle of night , this presents a challenge. Just something to keep in mind when putting elderly people in those units.

Chalets we’re charming and location was sweet for us.staff was knowledgeable in helping us getting around area. We were in area for Buffalo round up and to explore the black hills

Not really anything to say here. The motel was as advertised. The breakfast was a simple grab and go but had whatever one would need.

The staff was wonderful. Although old the motel has been well maintained and is very cute. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the town of Custer and the area.

Great location and very quirky, checkin superb, and staff were great. Super shower and great wifi. Bed was comfy, but the room is tiny, that's the only problem we had. Fabulous grab and go breakfast.
