How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The gym facilities were very poor. 4 threadmills and only 2 working (just about as one didn’t incline) a lot of broken equipment and generally not a clean place to train. Ended up going to power lift gym which was a 7 min drive away

The food was extremely repetitive with the same options each and every day which were limited as it was offered. You had to pay extra for ice-cream and fresh orange juice. Not all staff spoke English
I liked the swimming pool which was relatively big, I also liked the fact there were small shop located within the building.

I never ever seen five star hotel not have WiFi .i have to pay for internet then u got WiFi .and there nothing not shampoo or sop to wash hand in bath room .the staff not good treat .

- same food everyday and wasn’t much taste - selection was disappointing and desserts were bad - toilet was dirty and had marks on it that didn’t come off - the door to room was weird sometimes it wouldn’t lock first time - reception didn’t answer the phone when we had an emergency, someone was trying to break in to our room at 2am, and we called 10 times and no answer so we had to call the police in the end. - long queues to get a drink from the bar in the day and in the evening - long queues even to get soft drinks which wouldn’t expect from a 5* resort - the bar staff do not know what different cocktails are they only had one type of cocktail which they just made up - all drinks came in tiny plastic cups - slushies tasted like grass - they serve food around the pool which is good but it was the same everyday, always burgers and chips, gets boring after a couple times. - at the buffet the bread was always stale - they have a midnight buffet from 11:30pm-2am and we got there at 11:40pm there was barely any food there and the food that was out was reused from day before. - They’re so confident the included cocktails are bad they have a seperate cocktail bar where you have to pay for the drinks 🤣 it’s meant to be an all inclusive - you have to pay for wifi and it’s not cheap for 1 week is £15. -wifi is free in the reception but it doesn’t reach your room or the pool or the restaurant. - music is on till late which you can hear in your room, we didn’t mind this but if you have young kids it could be a problem.

I have never written a bad review before but thought it was essential to write one for this stay. Reading the reviews, we expected the food not to be great, so we were prepared for that and it didn’t bother us much. However, there was no kettle in the room. We have a 6 month old baby and required a kettle to make his feeds, especially during the night and to sterilise his bottles. After requesting for this multiple times, explaining my baby needs 3 night feeds and showing the baby bottles that need sterilising, the staff still refused to provide us with a kettle. With 0 empathy they said we’d need to make trips to the bar where we would have to use the hot water from the coffee machine! Anyone with a baby knows you cannot clean bottles properly like this. We even bought the washing up liquid and bottle brush ourselves, all we needed was boiling water! This was totally unacceptable according to us. Even if you don’t provide kettles in rooms, for a baby you should be able to provide this service. On the last day, we found out they do allow exceptions and another customer (who did not have a baby) was provided with a kettle! Moreover, we requested a cot which came 1 day late. It was a Joie travel cot which usually comes with a mattress that you can adjust to different heights according to your childs size and needs. We were provided with just the shell and no mattress. We were told we would get this the next day to only be told this is all they had. Therefore our baby was sleeping in our bed for 2 days. We then had to fold multiple duvets to make a mattress for our baby at the required height. Also, if you have a baby, do not book a pool view room. It was more expensive and the DJ was playing extremely loud at the pool side party till 3am. Then it starts again at 10am with music for Aqua Aerobics. The sliding balcony doors do not block out the sound at all. Make sure you take an iron as they do not provide this either.

Spa pool not open said it was . Food was terrible the gym is old and the running machines broken and dangerous . Terrible beach miles from anywhere had to pay for WiFi all inclusive Shouldn't be like this
