To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Incredible hotel. Multiple times a day the staff came to ensure we don't miss anything, the breakfast was simply the BEST we've ever had in any hotel in the world. Both pools were relaxing and the service was great.

Great hotel, amazing breakfasts, close to the city centre (20 min of walking down the big Avenida with nice shops). Staff is excellent! Loved it and will come back!

United KingdomWe paid for a city view, and from the 10th floor had a view of the roof of a car park and apartment block across the road, no big deal but would advise not paying extra for it.
The staff were absolutely amazing, allowing us both an early check-in and late checkout. The waiting staff at both the restaurant at breakfast and bar staff were friendly and attentive. We had mentioned in our booking that it was our anniversary, and the hotel surprised us by leaving a bottle of sparkling wine and a platter of chocolates, macaroons and fruit in our room!

United KingdomWas unable to use the spa pool area after 1pm with my 10 year old daughter. We had a 2:30 family massage booked but couldn’t use the other facilities due to her age which i didn’t really understand. Better service at the pool area is required also.
Breakfast was really good. Staff were super accommodating. Hotel was very clean.

United States of AmericaI specifically requested a room with 2 twin beds, even wrote the hotel ahead of time to further confirm the bed type. They wrote back and confirmed. But when I arrived, they gave me a room with one bed. I was moved to another room, but had to assist the staff to physically separate the one bed into 2 beds, and re-arrange other furniture. One of the "perks" was welcome dessert and wine. Because I had to change rooms, the dessert and wine did not follow. I called the front desk, they sent a bottle of wine, but no dessert.
Staff was excellent. Room was very clean. I checked out too early for breakfast. Great location. Taxis and Ubers were always available.
