It's a wonderful property in a great location. Carlos is about the best host you could imagine, charming, funny, interesting, and available for anything you need. There were piles of fresh oranges on the table when we arrived(and more on the trees!) We made fresh juice every morning, what a treat! The grounds are beautiful and the animals are fun, be sure to explore!! There is a pool and a great outdoor area with all the lounge furniture you could want. The location is private and you are perfectly situated to pick up groceries or do any kind of day trip along the coast. The beds are comfortable and the house is very clean. For our group of 5 friends, it was fabulous to each have our own bathrooms!

The decor is very dated which probably won't matter much for families. I almost didn't book because of it. For adults who like style and warmth, it meant we didn't lounge inside much. The furniture is... serviceable; there are no area rugs and the lights are bright and cold! There are no spices of any kind, you will need to get your own salt and pepper and olive oil. The water in the taps is scalding hot. Be very careful.

Best location to explore Alfama and its surroundings! It is literally a 1 min walk from the funicular that will take you to Miradouro da Graça for the best view of Alfama. Breakfast is delivered every morning to your room and is delicious! We will stay again.

TV was smaller than my tablet. Not a big deal, just saying. Breakfast was unique but could have had a few hot items like eggs and bacon.
