There are few frills and no TV, and this time the WiFi wasn’t easy to access (last time I stayed it was fine). And I found one night without a TV was quite calming - I read instead.

I didn't spend much time in the room so can't comment if someone is going to be in for any length of time except to say, if you want to watch anything take a laptop or tablet as there is no TV.

Very clean, basic room with a bathroom. The shower was very good with a good pressure and lovely and warm. The light in the bathroom was movement controlled and did go out one eve when I was showering but opening the shower door brought it back on. I did not have breakfast there but I believe basics were provided such as toast, cereal and yoghurt. I was happy to have that if wanted as I hadn't realised anything was provided. I was attending an event at the university so it was a great location as only a 10 minute walk, It was about 15-20 minute walk to the town centre but there are plenty of trams and buses. I am also told that Sheffield will accept over 60's bus passes from other cities so that is a definite plus if you have one. There are some lovely restaurants near by as well. I was told Mavelli was delicious food and I went to an Italian restaurant opposite which served a good menu.

No criticisms. Some people might expect a TV in room, but not an issue for me.

Comfortable, well maintained accommodation. Friendly staff. Car parking. Single en-suite room not big but perfectly adequate for a couple of nights. Simple continental breakfast and tea/coffee in room. 10 minute walk from city centre and Octagon Centre. Very good value and feels secure for solo traveller.

Nothing much, everything was good. Maybe pay a little more attention to bathroom facilities, as a little worn out.

I stay at Wilson on a regular basis and really like the room and location. It is close to my university and the room is clean and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.

The door in the corridor slammed, staff said they will get this looked at. In a double room it would be ideal to have 2 seats. I also found the bedside cabinet had very sharp corners which hit my shoulder when I turned over in bed. Looks like maybe the plug socket needs to be raised to above this so that the table could be pushed right back against the wall. Minor things when the room is such great value.

This was great value and staff were very friendly. The room was basic, fine for the money. It was clean, and included breakfast consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt, hot and cold drinks. Hot breakfasts were available to buy at very reasonable rates.

It would be great if 2 - 4 hangers can be provided. There isn't a hair dryer in the room and I am not sure if this can be rent at the reception because I didn't ask.

Excellent location with free parking space. Amazing staff. You can't require more with this price. Worth for money, free breakfast is included.

No complaints however as a suggestion - I can imagine room could become very warm in summer temperatures so maybe darker/blackout curtains to block sun (a fan was included in the bedroom). Blind for bathroom so window can be opened wide when showering if warm weather.

Perfect for a one night stay. Clean, secure room, decent light breakfast included (coffee, fruit, toast, cereal, yogurt). Great showers, hot water. Great location near nice areas for food and drinks and hotel is easy to find. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean hotel. Room is basic, with thin walls but perfect value if you book for a low price. I will stay again next time visiting Sheffield. Not a 5 star hotel but 5/5 for value.

Basic small clean rooms no tv but great shower but we knew that, perfect for an overnight stay and short walk to City Hall where our concert was.Quite secure parking with barrier onsite for free too. Tip is the windows open as in say window style as discovered in the morning. We thought staff vey helpful and informative. Bargain for what we paid £60 a night inc parking and breakfast.

Can upgrade if wanted to cooked breakfast at a cost but we had toast jams and cereals and fruit with fresh coffee or tea for free . Perfect for us.

It was the perfect little gem right in the heart of Sheffield city centre - quiet, set away from the main busy streets, very clean and the staff were lovely.

It was in the middle of the city. Maybe near a university? Because of construction it was a bit of a challenge to get to. We didn’t get to have breakfast because we left too early.

It was clean and efficient for an overnight stay on a long drive day. We were able to park in a car park outside the building. It was quieter than I expected for the area.
