A beautiful place in the middle of beautiful Scotland. It is a place that exudes peace and humility. The whole hotel is in the same spirit, which is not super modern, but reflects the unique mood of a calm and quiet place.

Over priced, £4 for water. No need to squeeze people because they are hemmed in.

I think I would appreciate to have a kettle and TV in our room. The room's decoration hasn't been refreshed recently. However, it has an old / stylish feel.

The hotel was at a quiet location, yet near the main road (NC500). The staff were friendly and smiling. The breakfast was great (full Scottish breakfast, cereals, toasts, coffee, tea, various juice, etc). I especially remember waitress who was super friendly.

Nothing. I understand why some might feel the dated decor is off putting, but actually makes no difference to the level of comfort or quality of service which was excellent.

Although the decor is hostel style old fashioned, everything functioned perfectly. Enjoyed a proper cup of tea and a delicious shortbread (looked homemade) rather than annoying mini sachets in the room. Breakfast good with fruit and non dairy milk available. View great, food in adjacent pub decent, service friendly. Parking close, easy to find.

No TV in room, meal prices were expensive as well but it was okay as we went up the coast to look for somewhere else and ended up having a great meal.

Very dated decor, with peeling paint and wallpaper. No kettle in the room, which we were told was their policy. Bath felt very unstable underfoot, as if it was about to crack. It was rather old and a 70’s green so this was a reasonable assumption. Very, very thin duvets, hardly thicker than a sheet. Heating was not on along the corridor we were on, nor in our room. The rest of the corridors felt warm.

Very friendly staff. Clean room. Dinner in the bar was excellent.

We were told on arrival that there would be no tea and coffee in the room as they are moving away from Replenishable items in favour of the environment. But if we wanted tea or coffee we just had to come down to the lobby and we would be given it free of charge. However we didn’t do that. There was also no TV in our room and we do like to watch the news of an eveningReplenishable items in favour of the environment. We'd asked if we need to book the diner but the answer was that it is not neccesary, and later it turned out that restaurant is full. Fortunatelly we didn't have to wait very long but still....
