Some problems with the shower (changing water pressure)

Water pressure not great in the shower. Poor selection of breakfast, other than filter coffee at extra cost.

The wifi finally worked after months without. Clean and modern.

Poorly prepared room. Toilet seat broken. Sofa bed not made up. Two cups for 3 guests. Only 1 large towel although plenty of hand towels. Bed made up and cup provided on the 2nd time of asking but didn't realise the shortage of large towel until after sofa bed made up and couldn't be bothered to drag the kids to reception in the bar again. Disappointed having stopped here with the kids before and not having any issues.

The Wi-Fi does not work and the plumbing needs attention. The toilet paper is appalling. We had a poor dining experience - a waitress with long hair that she ran her fingers through (a pet hate); no lamb option (not informed of that until half way through our starters); and a poor fillet steak - but the manager did everything he could to put things right/recompense us and deserves credit for that.

Breakfast was tasty - though you had to choose between fruit/cereal/croissants/cereal and a cooked option; we prefer a small bit of each but ended up with just a huge cooked breakfast. The welcome, decor, cleanliness and bed were great. The room was very quiet and dark at night.

The shower was dodgy. The water pressure would surge and drop off. The water temperature would go from hot to tepid

No windows could be opened in the room and card key didn't work first time so had to go back to reception for another.

Great location, right in the city centre and minutes from the station. Room is really nice, comfy bed and very clean.

Minor details, little soulless and our bathroom door needed planing so it could shut

Fantastic location for city centre. Despite this the double glazing was excellent so it’s incredibly quiet. Short walk to a secure car park (Q park chain) or tram stop. Clean, nice staff. Fairly standard hotel room but just what you need for a night away

The fact that we couldn't open the windows and get some airing. The room was hot though aircon was at 16 degrees! The water pressure in the shower wasn't consistent

The staff were kind enough to let us check in at 1 as we had an important engagement to go to at 3 pm.

Maybe put the reception part into the hotel area so you don’t have to go inside the restaurant to check in. Would have liked a double bed rather than two singles but not a major issue. I thought the hotel was brand new after an email received but seemed to have been open a while now but the water pressure isn’t very good and the shower switches from hot to cold which wasn’t very pleasant.

Very central and easy to get around everywhere. Rooms were clean and plenty big enough. Beds comfy and staff friendly. Air con works well, maybe a little too well as was freezing by the time morning came.

Miller and Carter restaurant very busy on the Saturday night so had a 20min wait despite booking a table.

Perfect location for snooker at the Crucible. Comfortable room with everything you need for a long weekend stay.
