Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like
On arriving the reception area was comfortable & I thought the table with drinking water and glasses available were a nice touch I had a nice cold glass of water while my daughter checked in we Stayed in room 234 & my daughter was fascinated with the fact that. Oliver Hardy ( Laurel and Hardy ) had stayed in that room back in 1952 while they played at the Alambra the hotel had information on the wall outside the room as well as further information in reception area of other historical facts about the building and people who had stayed there, It was a good size room and even had iron and ironing board in the wardrobe just what we needed to be wrinkle free ( at least our clothes were) as we were attending family funeral the next day , My daughter treat me to breakfast via room service 10 out of 10 Wi-Fi reception in our room was excellent ( not like other hotels we have been in) It is definitely our hotel of choice in the future as it was also cheaper than our previous regular hotel

United KingdomOur arrival at reception, for the first time ever, was treated with disdain because we arrived too early to check in. With the hotel changing owners again since our last visit we weren’t aware. But having travelled for eight hours to visit a sick relative we were in need of a little comfort. There was only us at reception, so it wasn’t busy, but I had to return to query before the receptionist attempted to help, a room was empty and available which left my wondering why it wasn’t offered in the first instance. Having spent many years in the hospitality industry this would be an easy thing to do, especially knowing it could make all the difference to weary travellers. Eventually it was sorted and we were very grateful and expressed our thanks. I can only put it down to an off moment or busy with another task for the curt response in the beginning. It hasn’t put us off wanting to return because we have never experienced this before from any staff.
The property is a beautiful example of Bradford’s rich industrial heritage. It has a lovely ambience. It’s always very clean, well done to the housekeeping team. The beds are comfy Most of the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast is super and so is the breakfast staff. I always stay here on my return to the city.

United KingdomA bit of noise from the street out front. But nowt serious. I would have liked an alpaca in my room, but so few hotels have thus facility.
Really beautiful building, good price, rooms were comfortable and well equipped, bathroom was clean. Staff were very helpful, even sorted us out a couple of extra pillow late at night. Big thanks to the guy on the bar/night duty on the evening of 31st May. Can you get the adelphi in Liverpool up to this standard, please?

Great location, free on site parking. Great value for money. Shirley on reception very friendly and efficient. Didn’t have breakfast. We were going to Saltaire so it was a great hotel for a stopover and easy access to Saltaire village in an Uber. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

United KingdomThe beds were not especially comfortable as the mattresses were too soft Finding a parking space when car park full or nearly full.
The decor....oldy worldly, quaint and clean. Liked the touch of nostalgia in the entrance with the old style suitcases on a barrow. Liked the fact that breakfast was freshly cooked. Free parking

United KingdomThe breakfast is nowhere near the amount we got charged at £9.50. Only 3 pain au chocolates left, no muffins, crumpets, pancakes, croissants or anything else. No salad either. It was really basic. Hot food is cooked to order but nothing special I’m afraid. The hotel is very dated. Bathroom doors are fire doors so extremely heavy
Huge! Rooms were huge, clean, very friendly staff

United KingdomOnly the breakfast. Only 1 egg (between 3 of us) when we went to "help yourself", 1 x hash brown and the mushrooms were stone cold. Having said that, the ladies did a lot of running about topping up trays, seating people and serving tea/coffee as well as clearing away empty tables. There were cereals and pastries plus a toaster machine, Juices, ham and cheese plus fruits - so a good choice. Coffee/Tea top-ups were offered too. Nice restaurant setting though.
Easy and quick check in. Entered car reg into a "tablet" at the desk. On getting to the rooms, both were doubles (even though we booked a double and a twin). Reception sorted this immediately and our "Twin" was allocated on a separate floor and was not an exec room and no offer was made to refund the difference. However, it was totally functional, quiet and the bed was comfortable. There was tea/coffee making facilities, it was clean and there was hot water in the shower. Not many car parking spaces though - but we did manage to get one. We had a meal in the "brasserie" which was lovely. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly - meals reasonably priced and a good menu. We had breakfast in The Restaurant which was a hot/cold buffet style. Hotel is lovely - more traditional and elegant (not like other chains where you could be anywhere in the World). All the staff we met were very friendly and cheerful from Reception to housekeeping, Brasserie to Restaurant. All in all an excellent stay and yes - we would return.

United KingdomThe mattress on our bed was rather lumpy and needs replacing. As I prefer a firm mattress I didn’t sleep very well.
Lovely bathroom, great decor and very clean. Location was good as easy walk from interchange station. The French ballroom where our dance was held was beautifully maintained and decorated with stunning chandeliers. Plenty of choice of fresh fruit at the breakfast buffet and very tasty cooked to order breakfast.

United KingdomThe corridors are maze-like, and if you have a room in the centre, you will have a view of a narrow central well with other windows (which made opening the window impossible) Plus a lot of pigeons (in the well) cooing throughout the night. It is an old hotel that sadly feels quite dated.
Comfortable, spacious room. Excellent Shower and water pressure. The staff very friendly and helpful.
