Located near the centre, hotel is on its way to a renovated state.

The hotel is somewhere between the stages of getting fixed (up to date bathrooms) and of being old (lots of damp spots on the ceilings, scaffolding on the outside). The restaurant is not very pleasant, could be made much nicer with little effort. The host changed his welcoming attitude when we didn't take a second breakfast and diner there. To be honest, breakfast is cheaper, much much better at the cosy next door place called 'the Olive'. We really enjoyed our north coast 500 trip, but do feel that Thurso and this hotel can be missed.

We liked the location, close to the centre of Thurso. The rooms were spacious and clean.

It was a little chaotic at meal times but ultimately it all worked. No point stressing about it. Nothing really to worry about

A great building with easy parking. Good welcome from the team there. Food both in the evening (haggis bon bons and local Fish and Chips) and at breakfast (full, freshly cooked breakfast) was great. Absolutely great pint of Guinness

Just general lack of attention to detail, tablecloths not ironed, no bottled water in rooms. Water stains on walls.

I wouldn't say there was anything I actually didn't like, but the building is still a work in progress, so others should be aware of this. But it didn't in any way compromise our stay

Basic, good value accomodation. Friendly family atmosphere and a lovely welcome. Staff were helpful and the room was as expected.

"My stay at the Manor Hotel was delightful, as I spent a night there before catching a ferry the next day I was there for only 1 evening. The hotel was housed within a historic building that, while not modern, boasted amenities such as a good TV and excellent Wi-Fi. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight; I indulged in one of the finest fish meals I've ever had, all at a reasonable price. The location couldn't have been more convenient, with ample parking available right outside. They did offer breakfast however I unfortunately did not try this. Overall, my experience was truly exceptional. I couldn't have asked for more."

The valve on our radiator was broken so our room was really hot. The room also maybe could have done with some more storage space and perhaps a mini fridge. Overall though a great place to stay!

Really enjoyed my stay here! Location was great, just a short walk from the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were really friendly, nothing was too much trouble and the hotel is nice and modern. The bathroom was really spacious in our room as well.

The doors were not sound proofed and the floors were uneven as the building was old.

    Can’t think of anything

The room was lovely - warm, bright, big and lovely view. We had the fish and chips two nights in a row and it was absolutely excellent!! Can honestly say it was the best fish we’ve ever had and we are in our 60s. 5 min walk from train station and 5-10 min walk from town. Also had fantastic Guinness!
