Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt is managed from the Datchet Manor hotel which is now registered with the home office to house asylum seekers and refugees: the Datchet manor hotel is not open to the public, yet anyone staying at the Manor Green cottage has to book in at the Datchet Manor hotel!!!! I called the property numerous times during the day to discuss parking and no one picked up but then I suppose there is no staff at the residence if the residence is managed from 2 doors away, on knocking on the front door of the manor green cottage o was directed to the Datchet manor hotel by a long term resident. On booking into the Manor Green Cortage at the Datchet Manor hotel I was asked to sign a registration document with the name on it of the 'Swan Hotel' which I refused to do. In summary I booked the manor green cottage, I had to go 2 doors down to the Datchet manor hotel to book into the manor green cottage and asked to complete a swan hotel registration form. Mind you the room was very comfortable.
The location to the Trainline into London.

United KingdomRoom has everything you needed but was quite compact. Especially the bathroom. The bath was one which had a raised seat in it which made it awkward to get into given its size/size of bathroom. Otherwise shower over bath was fine (management mentioned there was an issue with the shower not working properly but worked fine for us).
Central within lovely village of Datchet. Short distance to Windsor. Check in was straight forward and free parking. The room was nice with en suite bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities and small fridge was welcome. Ironing / hair drying facilities in small cupboard with hanging space. Overall very comfortable and quiet.

United KingdomThe room could do with secondary glazing to cut down on airplane and traffic noise. Bed a little small. Bath would be better replaced with shower cubicle as I nearly slipped on strange seated bath when getting out .
Stayed in cottage thats annex to Manor Hotel . Room was good, beams, ensuite that was small but adequate. Overlooks the village green. Great train link to Windsor just metres away.

AustraliaWe stay at the Manor Green for its convenience to Heathrow and have always been happy. But now the pub is being renovated with a sign "Not Open to Public" and no indication of where to find reception (hint press the door button and wait). The available rooms are nearby in a lovely old building, but mine had a completely unacceptable bathroom with a quite dangerous shower.

United KingdomThere was nothing really to complain about. Our only suggestion was the addition of a couple of water glasses or a couple of bottles of water.
The comfort and how everything was at hand and impressed how different things had been done for the room available e.g. small bedside cabinet. The room was very clean and although we arrived rather late due to our flight being delayed the landlord was most accommodating and very welcoming.

United KingdomParking was confusing. The room was absolutely not clean, dust everywhere, sticky surfaces, dirty sides, skirting boards. There were bits broken off of things, and the ac vent panel was broken and shoved in a cupboard. The windows wouldn't shut properly, so I didn't feel safe at all. There was a random bathtub in our room blocking the fireplace, and there was so much dirt and muck behind it. Such a shame as it could be a lovely room if more attention was given to it.
Staff, he was lovely. The location was also good, right next to a train station and Windsor which is what we wanted.
