Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThere are only two points I could raise as negatives: I experienced slight discomfort because of the protective covers on the mattress — they led to me waking up several times during the night because of overheating. Also, using the shower was tricky — positioning it in a ‘typical’ orientation directly into the tub resulted in water running onto the edge of the bathtub and then onto the floor (there was a significant gap in the shower screen that funnelled water from the tub edge onto the floor!). However, none of these issues would prevent me from staying there again.
The staff were incredibly friendly and made my time there exceptional. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the complementary wi-fi was faultless (although should probably be more secure!). Bedding and towels were all faultlessly clean. The food in the restaurant was exceptional — the staff said they had recently hired a new chef, and I can safely say that they are a credit to the hotel!

The hotel is an an excellent location and the room was extremely well presented. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the wi-fi was outstanding.

United KingdomThe hotel has only just been taken over by Best Western and we couldn't find it because they had no signage up. I understand this, but they could have informed us. They sent several e mails telling us we would be denied entry without identification and never asked for it but, no guidance as to how to get there. Everybody seemed to be finding their feet, to be honest' but it was just a quick stopover and the price was very reasonable for Central Glasgow reflecting the situation.
Our room was small but well appointed and clean. There was free parking outside until 8am when we just got in the car and left.

The bed was blissfully comfortable - had a great nights sleep. Had an evening meal at the hotel restaurant. Food was simple Italian style but prepared and presented very well.

United KingdomTaxi driver didn't recognise hotel name, but new old name. Signage was A4 paper stuck to outside wall, so only very recently changed. Taxi cost £10.40 from Queen Street. Bus (77) were seen next day so that might be better option as walk is around 30 minutes.
Warmly welcomed on arrival. Quick check in. Room nicely decorated and clean.
