How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Parking is limited. The mattress in our room needed an update. A small microwave would be a good addition.
Decor beautiful; shower hot and strong; breakfast hot and tasty; Simon was very friendly and engaged in meaningful conversation; location was ideal (except for the bicycle rally that nearly got my car towed). The location was an easy walk to the town center with restaurants, shops and beach promenade.

Christleton House is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and in an ideal location. The breakfast choices were plentiful and cooked to perfection. The small fridge in the room is a nice touch. Simon is the perfect host and the lady serving breakfast (sorry i didn't get your name) was lovely. We will definitely be staying here again.

Nothing, it was all just fabulous.
Let me start by saying thank you to Simon our host who was absolutely fabulous.My husband and I have just returned home from Christleton House in Llandudno and it was wonderful.Our en-suite room was on the first floor of this superb Victorian property.I feel it is a disservice to call it a B&B or even a guest house.Our room was beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable, the decor and bedding were exceptional.Plenty of hot water and the shower was just great.Tea and coffee making facilities were on hand along with a fridge to keep milk and wine cold.Simon even provided a pair of scissors and a corkscrew.The property was exceptionally clean and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there.Simon cooked breakfast for the duration of our stay and I can honestly say it was probably the best I have eaten anywhere. Situated at the top end of the town with close access to the pier and the Great Orme along with the shopping area, a perfect location.Parking during the busy months may cause a problem but they do have a small car park for a small car.The little forecourt at the front of the property was filled with an abundance of potted flowers and plants.Highly recommended and we can’t wait to go back.Thanks again Simon, it was an absolute pleasure.

Great central location. Simon was the perfect host; polite, professional, informative & approachable. Really good breakfast selection. The full English was amazing; well presented, fresh and hot. Accommodation was spotlessly clean and tidy. Off - road parking is limited to 2/3 cars but still a great addition & considering that many other B&Bs will not have this option. This will be our 'Go to place' whenever we visit Llandudno in the future.

Beautiful bedroom and decor. The bed was extremely comfortable with quality bedding. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming.

Only booked for 4 nights would have liked to stay for longer!
Five star accommodation - from a friendly welcome from Simon who provided useful advice on places to eat and pubs to a great room. Large room stylishly decorated with all facilities you would expect, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice and everything freshly cooked. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

The host was very friendly and ensured that we had everything we needed during our stay. The guest house itself was clean, well presented, spacious and the facilities were all great too. On top of all of that, the freshly made breakfast was the best we’d eaten in quite some time! Location is ideal for visiting Llandudno and offers quick access to all of the main attractions.

Simon was very welcoming upon arrival, helping with luggage to our room, which was lovely, well furnished, very clean and had a useful small fridge in which Simon had thoughtfully left us fresh milk . Coffee, Tea and biscuits were also available. Shower room was very clean with towels and toiletries. Excellent Breakfast, and choices, Excellent location, very close to attractions. On our departure day, Simon even allowed us to leave our bags until we were ready to catch our train home, this enabled us to enjoy more time in Llandudno and have a last stroll down the pier. Much appreciated.

We had an amazing time. Everything was of such a high standard and far exceeded our expectations. The room was lovely, with everything we needed. The breakfast was freshly cooked and really plentiful. Perfect location. Our host Simon, welcomed us with a smile and it is obvious, that he really enjoys what he does. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend a visit. A 5* service.
