The bed unfortunately wasn’t very comfy, other than that it was perfect.

We did self catering and had everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen. You could have eaten at the on site restaurant.

Nothing really my opinion they should take more notice of outside lodge.i.e. a jet wash around decking area because of trees and wild Life as there was a lot of dead flies cob webs and moss stains on railing and bird mess. And update chairs and tables as 2 were broken when we arrived.

This lodge was fantastic for what we paid, onsite jjs bar was lovely brilliant staff service and food lovely. Nice peaceful area perfect for getting away with family to chill out. Definitely we return at a later date. 😁

The bed was not the best, as mattress is basically sofa bed quality. Mattress upgrade is the only suggestion, and if possible, have hairdryers on request for foreign visitors, as I was unable to use mine with the UK power outlet.

I've just returned from a lovely stay. The cottage was immaculate and equipped with anything you could need or want. Modern decor with lots of windows and light. Checkin took less than 2 minutes. The woman at the desk was friendly and welcoming. I was on my own but felt safe both in the lodge and on my morning walks around the park. The location is ideal, especially as it is close to Pocklington and not far from York. JJs restaurant is right there, which had great food and wonderful service. I will look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you. XX

Very nice cabins with hot tub. Plenty of space. Hot tub at the rear of cabin, which provided privacy. Local area nice for food drink and local walks in the rural area. Had a wonderful Sunday roast at JJ.s bar & restaurant situated near the main reception.

- if you are coming on a hot day bring your fan because the lodge can get extremely hot and no matter how many windows you’ll have open it won’t help much - if you are ordering any celebration packages maybe call a day before to ensure it’s done as I’ve booked it and paid for it couple weeks before arrival and when we’ve arrived birthday package was not there (not really lodges fault as they’ve said they are using external company and they’ve missed it- refunded money straight away - not a lot of privacy for the hot tub as you have all other lodges in line next to yours from both sides - spring mattress so it can be tricky sleeping on it as you can feel the springs constantly due to wear and tear - very late check in (4pm) and early checkout (9-10am) however you can get late checkout for extra price

the location is absolutely amazing. allethorpe park is so peaceful and nice, after 10pm you can’t hear anything and just enjoy and relax. the lodge was absolutely great for a price, all needed things were there (cutlery, pans, pots, even board games/card games/dvd’s!). knowing that the lodge is pet friendly it was really clean. the hot tub was great too. and the food in JJ’s Kitchen is to die for (we didn’t eat in the restaurant, we’ve ordered online for the pick up and it was ready in 20 minutes!). you also get emergency number which you can call if you have any issues. checking and checkout extremely easy. great amenities near by, plenty of shops only 4 minutes drive from and allethorpe lakeland 3 minutes drive from which was great.

The hot tub felt a little overlooked by the lodges on either side, it would have benefited from a little privacy screening to reduce our 4 year old from inviting conversation with the neighbours when we were partially dressed getting in / out of the hot tub and removing / replacing the hot tub lid. The hot tub lid was a little awkward to put fully back in place from the veranda and meant my partner had to get dressed to go round the back of the hot tub to make sure the lid was back on properly, it took the edge off unwinding and relaxing to then have to get dressed to replace the lid.

We loved the lodge, very spacious and clean, perfect for our little family getaway. The lodge was set in beautiful grounds which our 2 young children enjoyed exploring in the evening once the golfers had finished for the day. There was no sales pressure to access other facilities on site so we were able to completely relax and do what suited us as a family. Very friendly staff at check in / check out, they were really good with our kids and gave them some Halloween treats for the road trip home. We really appreciated the 1pm late checkout as it meant we could enjoy our last evening there rather than having to pack for an early checkout on the morning of our departure.
