Very quaint and comfortable, lots of little extras to use, eg sweeteners, umbrellas, shower gel etc, lovely log burner for a cosy night, very near to everything, extremely quiet and comfortable bedroom

Superb location within a short walk of the town centre but down a quiet street. Easy to walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Coop Supermarket and bakery within a short walk. Lovely and warm in the house thanks to the underfloor heating downstairs and radiator heating upstairs. Didn't need to use the wood burner but nice to have it there in case. Very comfy reclining sofa. Kitchen had everything you need for a short break. Surprisingly big bedroom with plenty of room for case storage and clothes storage. Everywhere nice and clean. Off-road, secure parking was a big bonus. Hosts, who live next door, were charming and available whenever we needed anything but also gave us our privacy. Perfect place to stay for a couple or single.

Absolutely nothing whatsoever to dislike.

Hosts were there to welcome us on arrival, got the impression that nothing would have been too much for them. Their attention to detail was spot on. We feel that we 'hit the jackpot' with this property and would highly recommend it. It was cosy and well-equipped. Easy walking distance to all local facilities and good to have a private car parking area.

There were so many things I enjoyed about this cottage: The location to the heart of the town The kitchen had all the appliances I needed, as I really enjoy cooking The hosts live right next door and showed me around the workshop and allowed access to their garden When a bulb burnt out, Patrick was over with a new one in under a minute It was the perfect size for just the two of us Even though the hosts were right next door, we had a lot of privacy I can go on and on, and I will definitely stay again the next time I need accommodation in Pocklington

Our favourite feature within the property was the stained glass window, so beautiful when the sun hits. The property has everything you need, the little touches made it feel so homely. When we arrived the hosts Helen and Patrick met us, I was able to speak to Helen to ask questions and the pamphlet with all the details about the town and the cottage was completely brillaint! We loved our stay there, we can’t wait to Come back to visit our friends again.

Next to the road so was a tad light in the bedroom next to street lights with just blinds and could be noisy with passing cars.

Nothing to dislike, everything was good.

We loved everything, the beautiful cottage, Poklington, the countryside, the morning birdsong. The cottage is perfect for two with everything we needed and very comfortable. The hosts Helen and Patrick were very helpful and were happy to share their beautiful garden and even their washing line if we needed it.

Nothing - the cottage is absolutely perfect for a solo traveler or couple.

A beautiful cottage set in a secure location with private parking. The interior is tastefully furnished in a traditional country style. Everything has been very well considered so guests can settle in immediately and relax in the comfortable surroundings or sit outside in the lovely garden. Patrick and Helen are very friendly and give you a warm welcome on arrival. This place is a real gem and I’m looking forward to staying there again very soon.

Everything about this property was excellent, with the added bonus of its location, right in the middle of town, making it easy for shopping. The location is ideal for trips out to York, Hull, Beverley and, if you enjoy walking, the Wolds are nearby.
