How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location was just excellent. For what it is, really a single room in a broader flat, it was of excellent quality.

The tv could be better, with netflix, if someone wants to rest for some hours before leaving, but it would be just a plus, most of the people don't want to stay in when travelling. It was interesting watching locals channels. Although, we found one channel in English with nice old movies, because my partner doesn't understand Spanish. It's Paramount, I don't remember the number. But for the price, it was perfect, seriously, no complaints.
It's brilliant. Perfect location, we didn't have to take any transport go around apart from the airport, because it's close to everything! It's very clean, I've seen they cleaning toilets and the kitchen every day and the rooms every 2 days. The bed is so comfy that we overslept once. Hahaha. The kitchen is well equipped and very organised, great for cooking a meal and saving some money. We rent some bikes from the service shown on the flyers we found in the flat and it's worth it, definitely recommend, the beaches are magical. We will definitely come back!

I can't mention anything bad.
Small but clean room with lots of storage spaces. Bathroom is separately and shared but it's no problem because it's next to our room and there is another bathroom too so it isn't busy most of the time. The kitchen is excellently equipped and you can make tea or coffee from different types of coffee and tea. You have a big shelf as well in the fridge. Location is perfect: to the start of route to Castillo: 3 mins, to the sea: 10 mins, to bus stop: 3 mins Price was also very good in February

Walls could be thicker as the noise was prominent, but it is partially the other guests’ fault, as they were a tad noisy

The host dontella was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Had a lovely room with a balcony.which was nice to have breakfast on in morning. Very quiet,slept like a baby in my bed

Location is great, all good restaurants, sightseeings and supermarkets are close. Bus station to the airport is also close. Donatella is very nice and friendly. The room had everything. It was really comfortable, warm and costed the money.

All things were good.
Donatella is a generous and helpful person.She received her guests with candy on the bed.No seen anywhere. If I return at Alicant it s without doubt in this adress.

Location,room,kitchen. friendly, balcony with chairs and table. We should be keeping this to ourselves or will be full all the time. Donatella could not have done more for us. Place spotless. Next to Mercado tram station. Can get travel cards there.

Donatella is a very warm and hospitable host.👌 Great contact🔊☎️, helpful⚘⚘⚘. Check-in and check-out 🔐procedures are very simple. We were surprised by the equipment of the shared kitchen 🍳🥣- 100% of the necessary kitchen utensils🍽🍴, lots of spices🧂, oils, breakfast paper available, etc. Very clean🎖🎖🧹🧼, clean towels, bed linen 🛏- replaced after two days. A hairdryer and bath liquids are available in the bathroom🚿. This part of town is quiet🔇. Value for money💰 - I highly recommend it!!! 👏👍👌 Easy access from the airport by bus line C6🚌, bus stop just around the corner. Shops, bakeries with baked goods straight from the oven🥐🥨🥮, the center, the promenade, the tram stop🚉🚝 - everything is close. GREAT!!! - I RECOMMEND IT AGAIN!!!👍🏆👌👏✅

A very nice accommodation in the centre of Alicante. Donatella is a very warm and welcoming host. Room and facilities was very clean and comfortable. Very easy check in and check out. Very close to the airport bus stop and Central market. Highly recommended.

The walls are thin and you can hear most things your neighbours are up to, but it was never noisy so it did not bother us.
We enjoyed our stay - checkin instructions were clear and easy to follow, the room and facilities was clean, everything pretty much as expected. Location is great, everything in the city centre is within walking distance. Would recommend.

The location is fantastic, a good neighborhood to go out and explore the city. Donatella is a kind hostess, willing to solve and help with everything you need. I only stayed one night and to rest it was what I needed, the bathrooms are shared and clean. I would go back!

Smell from the window overlooking the inner yard.
Very friendly host Donatella, clean room, kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable bed. Very good location, near Santa Barbara Castle, city center and central market.
