Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWonderful! La Era is a unique and lovely place to stay in Almedinilla, Spain. Perfect for getting away from it all, hiking and exploring the hill towns nearby. Raul is an impeccable host. He was very helpful in planning our stay and responsive to any needs. We had a lovely breakfast each morning and a delicious dinner at the hotel on the last night of our stay (by prior arrangement). I highly recommend La Era if you are looking to experience the Andalusia region

The hotel was so good that I canceled the whole day plan and just stayed there. Really beautiful place with plenty of places to enjoy. Everything is organic at hospederia la era and the owners are so kind and supportive. You shouldn’t miss the breakfast, carefully cooked at home or bought from nearby artisans they work with. If you’re visiting Cordoba, or Granada, this is the place to give you a refreshing day-off away from the bustling cities.

SpainThat we had to change from the 'superior' room we booked, because it was very dark and claustrophobic with one small window and a concrete sofa. It was nothing like the bright superior room with big windows featured on booking.com, that was already occupied. We were, however, able to change to a much nicer 'standard' room with two windows.
A nice Hospederia, set in a lovely town that is well worth wandering around at length. Very friendly owners, who put a lot of effort into your stay. A very impressive entrance hall and stairway, nicely lit in the evening with candles and lanterns. A comfortable room and a good breakfast included, with a very nice pool area too. Recommended.

United Kingdomnothing at all.
this is is a fine house, beautifully and tastefully restored, that sits handsomely, centrally, but just above the village. The rooms are immaculate, quiet and furnished to a very high standard. The swimming pool is really lovely, well presented and privately situated to the back of the house. It was also great to see the productive and lovingly tendered vegetable garden . Davinia and Raul are just the most perfect and accomplished hosts.

United StatesIt’s quite a drive from any city, but lovely through the olive groves that cover every hillside and valley.
Breakfast under the trees was a wonderful way to begin the day. The swimming pool and area were great after a day of travel. The owners were very helpful and generous. The museum in town was very informative about olive oil, it’s history and current usage. I had to follow the museum person in her car to find it!

The location is lovely, the town of Almedinilla is very worth staying in and it is a good location to visit a lot of different places around- provided you have a car. The staff were super friendly, even helping me out with some laundry, which isn’t actually a service. The breakfast is the best I’ve had in a hotel. Everything was so loving prepared and presented. It is all organic and locally sourced. Very comfy bed and pillows too. Nice pool to spend the afternoons at.

This a beautifully restored house with calm and tasteful decor. The local artwork was an inspiration . The food was carefully prepared, organic and delicious. It was close to other places of interest but calm and quiet at night. The Roman Villa is in the town and walking distance from the Hospederia.. Oh, and the bed was so comfortable!

United KingdomIt was all so fabulous but is good to have a car to experience all of the things Davina can tell you about in the surrounding area.
Davina and Raul could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable about the best things to do, where to park and where to eat- wonderful! Thank you so much for the most lovely few days. The room and bathroom were beautiful and the beds are so comfortable! The views across the olive grove covered mountains are really picturesque. The pool and garden area are lovely there are birds singing in the trees or swooping overhead and you can see the little vegetable patch to the side of the pool. The food cooked by Raul was incredible and Davina and Raul were so kind, they catered for my partner's dairy allergy so well without ever compromising on what was served- so much so that we preferred to eat here! Davina and Raul have such attention to detail in choosing high quality, local and organic produce. The meals show case the best of the best- we were able to try the number one olive oil in the world with our meals and a variety of excellence high quality wines. Oh and if it is chilly Davina will treat you to the toasty warm -under- table- hot- coals (brazier?) -It's the best! Thank you for making Kris' 40th birthday so lovely!

They both are so awesome and lovely people. The breakfast is the best food from the region, prepared with love and nearly everything is organic and local food. The house is a wonderful place to be and stay. The village itself is worth discovering and from the place you can visit Cordoba, Granada, Priego and the stunning environment. We would give more than 10 points if possible. Don't miss this place.
