I did a 3,5 weeks long roadtrip and stayed in multiple hotels/hostels/motels, a different one almost every day. Mariposa Lodge was the best of all of them. It was so good, that I rearranged my schedule to stay there for another night. You need 1 hour to drive to yosemite. It is in the middle of the town, so everything you need is in walking distance. My favorite thing was the heater in the bathroom. Even in the 5 star Hilton resort hotel, they didn't have that. Also they provided Earplugs for the night.

Returned to Bear Creek Cabins after 8 years, still the best value for the money in the area. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the porch in the morning sun. The beds were comfy and the room has everything you might need.

I was satisfied with the warm cosy feeling the house gave us. We arrived at night, but it was easy to find the location. We took a good rest at a clean and warm place.

The property was perfectly located - 5 mins walk to a shop & restaurant, 5 mins drive to the nearest town and 60 mins drive from Yosemite NP. Our room was clean and well equipped and the hosts very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really well thought out - either stay and eat or grab and go - everything was packaged up to make things really easy and made for a great start to the day having breakfast in Yosemite. We asked about gold panning in the area and the host kindly obliged with a gold panning kit to take down the creek behind the hotel - bucket list of 52 years ticked off, thanks so much!
