The motel was very homey and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, the towels were fluffy, there were flannel sheets on the bed, and an interesting coffee-making system that brewed strong coffee. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Situated in the town of Big Pine,one hour away from Mount Whitney and the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest. Starlight Motel features BBQ facilities and free WiFi throughout the property. Friendly owner offered cold bottle of water up front, gave good hints for eating and surrounding sightseeing. New furnished room was comfortable. Hot springs close by. Excellent starting point to explore ancient bristle cone pine area (easy ride in 3/4 of an hour on paved roads) at 9000ft elevation.

Located along scenic Highway 395, Independence Courthouse Motel is just 5 minutes’ walk from Inyo County Eastern California Museum. Guests can take advantage of free WiFi and BBQ facilities. The host is really kind and helpful. He waited for us after check in time and gave us a recommendation for a really nice diner nearby. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Good location to explore Death valley & the Alabama hills.

Located just off US 395, less than 20 minutes’ drive from Bishop, this motel features a gas station and convenience store on site. Rooms include free Wi-Fi. Nice and clean accommodations. We arrived pretty late at night and had no issues checking into our room. I would recommend to anyone who is traveling through the area.
