Gracious host able to answer any questions and advise of local attractions. Apple cider in the lobby with fireplace wonderful. Pool and hot tub excellent. Choice of movies great and family friendly.

Featuring an outdoor pool and tennis court, Country House Resort is located in Sister Bay. This adult-oriented accommodation offers fishing, cycling and hiking facilities. What is not to like? The location is idyllic. Each room looks onto Sister Bay and hills surrounding it. The light fixtures in the room are stylish and modern. The bed looked to have been purchased a few days before. The TV screen is utterly enormous, and the DVD player easy to use. The shower is state of the art, and the flooring is spectacular. The breakfast was plentiful and the offerings varied. In the morning, three deer stood in front of the office. Ten seconds later, seven more came out from the bushes. The hiking path to town allows you to avoid cars and amble through nature into downtown Sister City, which is liberally peppered with good eateries and brew pubs. The staff were all very nice and helpful in every regard. This may be listed as a two-star hotel, but one feels like a king staying there.

Great property with chairs to relax near the water and you can see the lake from each room. Everything we needed was provided. Communication with the property owners was easy and they made check in quick and seamless. We'd be happy to stay here again on a return trip to Baileys Harbor!
