Booked two nights at Tan-Swiss for my daughter and me for a one day safari in Mikumi. We chose Tan-Swiss because they had a pool. The staff organized free pick up from our bus stop and gave us a very warm welcome. Tan-Swiss offered comfortable rooms, delicious food and a good breakfast, even though there were too few guests to have the regular breakfast buffet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, helped to watch my child while she swam and organized the return journey with a reliable bus company. They also helped us to organize a single day safari with an experienced guide. Tan-Swiss is an excellent choice for anyone traveling to mikumi.

My stay in Mantis Lodge was excellent! Even arriving 2am and departing 2am, since the pick up and drop off at the airport I had a kind and professional reception. Mr. Nazareth is a very kind, helpful and symphatic person. All the crew is very nice. I had a great time around the fireplace with all the workers and had a lot of fun. I recomend Mantis Lodge for everybody that wants to live a nice adventure in an incredible environment of nature with local people! Thanks everybody that made my trip a great experience! Situated in Morogoro, Mikumi Faru Tented Camp features accommodation with an indoor pool, free WiFi, a 24-hour front desk, and a shared kitchen. It was A M A Z I N G! We were offered some other what they call luxury tents at different location, but hold on... Are we really looking for a luxury things in the wild? It would steal the show... Faru tents was something that we all enjoyed. There were 6 of us, including 2 kidos (2 and 4-year old). Fantastic and very hearty staff. I'm ashamed that I could not memorize all their names. There was one old man (Mze), who was looking after my 2-year old boy as though as he was his grandfather. There was even a little and cute playground, imagine, at the middle of wild savanna, and even swimming pool. It was so rewarding to sunk in the pool after spending pretty much the whole day on dusty Mikumi roads. Dinner, booze, breaky , all was good. I asked for local yogurt (it is called in Tanzania as mtindi) and they got me a large bottle of mtindi... And the final rewording thing was the price! Do not spend thousands for luxurious things, it does not worth it in the wild. Our bill for overweight, for 6 people with "all inclusive" was only $150.
