Looking back upon a 100 year-long tradition in hospitality the historical Grandhotel Stary Smokovec in the centre of the High Tatras, only 3 minutes from the departure station of the Hrebienok cable... Perfect location in Vysoky Tatry, great room, friendly reseption which allowed me to continue in same room for second night, which was paid for lower tariff for smaller room. SPA and sauna - well organized and included in price of stay

Het BILÍKOVA CHATA - Horský hotel ligt op de zuidoostelijke helling van de berg Slavkovský, op 300 meter van de kabelbaan Hrebienok. Woow wat een uitzicht! Vanaf je kamer heb je echt een geweldig wijds uitzicht over het bos. De locatie is perfect als startpunt voor heerlijke wandelingen. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en in het restaurant kun je een goed ontbijt eten of diner. Kortom een super locatie voor je wandelvakantie!

This building and the family owning it is deeply integrated into the history of the surrounding towns and the Tatras. The building has been beautifully renovated recently, and they managed to perfectly keep the old style while providing all the modern conveniences. From the moment you arrive and the owner greets you, you feel like you are visiting with friends instead of staying in a hotel. They always have a few kind words for you and go out of their way to help you. We did have a special request beforehand, which was perfectly organized. They can also give you great advice for your time in the Tatras. The breakfast is a full continental selection, and according to the owners, they just started doing dinners. This is usually a buffet of 2 soups and 2-3 main courses, but created by a talented chef, expertly bringing traditional Slovakian flavours into modern cuisine. We are a family of foodies, so we actively seek out different restaurants to try the local food, but this time we were more than happy to have dinners in the hotel. The wellness needs to be booked a little bit in advance at the reception. But then you get a whole part of the building just for yourselves, with a sauna and a jacuzzi bath, and best of all, a spacious room with a fireplace and a bar where you can relax. Even though we are not wellness fanatics, we all found it lovely and definitely worth to try. It's obvious from my superlatives that it was one of the very best hotel stays in my life. It's almost on the level of the Japanese ryokans that I have experienced. This is not a luxury place, but a quality place, if you can appreciate the difference. Also, it's a quiet place, so you probably shouldn't go there if you want to party. On the other hand, if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings, you won't be disappointed.

Hotel Hubert Vital Resort in Gerlachov biedt een restaurant, een spa en paardrijfaciliteiten. De kamers zijn uitgerust met een satelliet-tv en een minibar. De meeste kamers hebben een balkon. I did like a food, ,area, animals everything was nice and clean and also pets friendly 🙂

Hotel Amalia is een moderne faciliteit met traditionele houten elementen. Het biedt ruime kamers met een panoramisch uitzicht op het Tatra-gebergte. Friendly staff, good location in quiet surroundings , a nice pool and comfy bed, tasty dinner.

Het vernieuwde Atrium Hotel High Tatras ligt in de buurt van de kabelbaan naar Hrebienok op 300 meter afstand en de stad Smokovec. Het hotel biedt gezellige kamers met een balkon en internettoegang. My wife and I spent Christmas and New Year at the Atrium Hotel High Tatras. Throughout our stay the staff did everything to insure we had a wonderful holiday. The facilities more than met our expectations. From the reception, the restaurants, wellness center, to the bowling bar the staff were most curtiest. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were outstanding with a wide variety off dishes to select from. Adjacent to the hotel is a ski slope which is also well maintained.
