They even helped to recommend tour agencies and drivers when we were planning our itineraries. The resort is helping women to get quality job. The resort is very close to the headquarter of Volcanoes National Park, just a 20 minutes drive, so we get to prepare our activities in the Park with ease. The kitchen of the hotel is pretty nice too, as a vegan, they provide me a lot of options.

Located in Ruhengeri, 300 metres from CARE Office Ruhengeri, Virunga Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and free WiFi access. Agnes was absolutely amazing! She checked us in and walked us to our room and made us feel like we were at home. There was mango juice to greet us In reception and Agnes make sure that Every need with Met. She recommended places of interest in the area, places to eat, including the restaurant facility at the hotel. Agnes was completely genuine as she asked us how our stay was how comfortable are rooms were, and said she looked forward to seeing us again when we departed from the hotel. meeting Agnes and her warm hospitality was one of the highlights of my traveling through Rwanda.

Gorillas Volcanoes Hotel is set in Ruhengeri and features a fitness centre. The location was great! Dinner and Breakfast were delicious. The restaurant staff was flexible and friendly too.

The whole family is very welcoming and my stay there felt like stepping into the daily life of a rwandan family. I was invited eating with them their familydinner, where I got to know the traditional dishes (delicious btw) and to have a talk about living in Rwanda. Norbert works in tourism for that was very convenient as Norbert helped me organise my gorilla trekking at an affordable price and I also did an authentic hiking tour with Norbert as my tour guide, where I learned a lot about the country. The room was simple equipped with mosquitonet, there was a theoretically shared bathroom, but since I was the only guest it was private for me, sometimes no running water but always enough watercanisters to handle that. If you want to have an authentic experience at an affordable price this is definitely the place to go with!
