Set in Alba Iulia, 31 km from Câlnic Citadel, Hotel Aura Unirii offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out experiences were quick and easy. As there was no elevator, the receptionist offered to carry our luggage. We really enjoyed the tasty breakfast as well. There was a good variety of croissants and pastries, cereal, and multiple options of cooked eggs (fried or various omelets). The eggs were made on the spot, which was really nice. The location is excellent, being literally across the street from the first 3 gates of the citadel. Both the citadel and the two shopping malls are well within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including bathrobes and towels for the spa. The beds were really comfortable, on the more rigid side, which was definitely a plus.

Carolina Heritage is situated in Alba Iulia, 33 km from Câlnic Citadel and 400 metres from Alba Iulia Citadel - The Third Gate. We had a lovely one night stay here, the location is wonderful right in the centre of the citadel and was very easy to get to and park. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. Our room was great, very big with a comfortable bed with bathrobes and slippers provided. There was also a well stocked reasonably priced mini bar. We had a lovely bath in the room too. The hotel was very clean everywhere and breakfast was very good. We especially appreciated the same lady from reception explaining the Romanian dishes. Would definitely stay here again

Located in Alba Iulia and with Alba Iulia Citadel - The Third Gate reachable within 1.2 km, Casa cu Nuc GRILL&POOL provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free... The host was wonderful and made us feel very welcome. She stayed up very late to help us deal with laundry, even after our late arrival, all the while making us feel more like family than simple customers. The host's recommendations for dining and other eatery locations were spot on. The breakfast at this location was very good. The house itself shows a lot of taste and care for the smallest details for a comfortable, even longer stay, in a great location (a ten minute pleasant walk to the third gate of the Cetate/Citadel). Thank you for everything - we will gladly return at every opportunity!

Featuring an on-site spa, Hotel Cardinal is set in Vintu De Jos, 9 km from Sebeş and 14 km from Alba Carolina Citadel. Free WiFi is featured throughout the property. Everything went wonderful. The hotel was very nice, the spa was superb(sauna and steam room were great) And the restaurant was absolutely perfect. Great tasty local sourced food, service was flawless! , we had such a great lunch and dinner there. We had to highlight the magnificent personnel that made us feel like home. Alex in the restaurant with his impeccable manners and great knowledge of romanian food and wines and Opruta in the front desk with a beautiful smile and kind heart. We will never forget our stay there!

Staff is extremely welcoming and made our stay unforgettable. The room and restaurant are newly renovated. Quality of food on a very high level. We requested an earlier breakfast on our day of departure and our wish was fulfilled. 👍 The view and childrens playground is also a big plus! It's very relaxing. Highly recommend! Thank you so much!

The girls from the restaurant/reception were friendly and respectful. They were the definition of great customer service!

Set 7 km from Alba Iulia Citadel, Allegria Hotel offers a summer outdoor pool, a wine cellar and a restaurant with a terrace. The staff is really friendly and helpful! They answered our questions really fast and helped us change a room (because of some miner issues) without any hesitation. We had a short but great time there. Also the crews in spa are really friendly and supportive. They helped me something, and then said: sorry... my English is not good. But for me it's not a problem at all. I wish all the people working there are healthy and happy in the new year!
