Cabanas da Viscondessa is offering accommodation in Urzelina. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Location is ideal if you have your own car and intend to use the on site meal services or you have some provisions to make some light fare in the unit kitchens. Cabins are quiet, have wonderful views and are surrounded by nature while still being accessible to the main towns. The fit and finish of the grounds is wonderful. Cabins are very modern like an Eco-spa may have including air conditioning, private decks and kitchens.

Hotel Os Moinhos is located in São Jorge Island, with views over the highest mountain in Portugal, sited in nearby Pico Island. the grounds and views were amazing! nicely kept hotel rooms too.

This hotel is 200 metres from the shopping area of Velas and 1 km from the harbour. It features a terrace overlooking the garden, the outdoor pool, and the Atlantic Ocean. The pool was filled with the perfect temperature sea water. The breakfast offered was over the top.

At the foot of the São Jorge Mountains, Hotel Solmar is less than 100 metres from the coastline. Its air-conditioned rooms overlook the Atlantic Ocean, Calheta Harbour or mountains. The room was clean and very spacious, equipped with an a/c which was very welcome in July. :) The location is great, close by a supermarket and restaurants. Good breakfast!

Varandas do Basalto has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Queimada. With inner courtyard views, this accommodation features a patio. Literally everything. It’s clean, spacious and well equipped.

Cantinho do Piano is situated in Velas. The property has sea and garden views. The guest house features family rooms. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless and quiet, the host was kind and informative. At check-in, Ana gave me a very helpful introduction to Sao Jorge, even lending me hiking brochures and providing tips on the best sunset viewing spots. Cantinho do Piano is ideally located in the center of Velas. I had a very relaxing time here.

Retiro Atlântico is located in Urzelina. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a meal on an outdoor dining area while overlooking the sea... Lovely place and owners. Thanks a lot!

Located in Calheta, Abrigo da Cascata - Casas de Campo - São Jorge offers a garden, free WiFi, a shared kitchen, and a housekeeping service. Beautiful setting on the sea. A truly unique escape.

Quinta da Magnólia AR is situated in Urzelina and has a private pool and pool views. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. This boutique hotel exceeded all my expectations. Beautiful, in a quiet location, with a wonderful infinity pool overlooking the Atlantic, rich breakfast and helpful staff. Simply perfect.

Situada em Velas, a Casa dos Lagos - RRAL nº 2187 oferece acomodações com WiFi gratuito e um jardim com terraço e vista para o jardim. Leodora was very nice and allowed us an early check in. The apartment was clean and tidy. Lots of linens provided. The air conditioning was great. Unit was spacious and specifically our bathroom was renovated (we chose based on the photos). Amenities were good (kitchen utensils and cookware, washer, drying clothes rack, hair dryer). We were also given a nice late check-out. You can walk to city center along sidewalk down hill it takes about 20 minutes. But maybe take a taxi uphill !
