Rooms were adorable, with amazing river views (get the view, you'll be happy you did), and amazing beds. Restaurant was delicious, highly recommend and delicious breakfast. Staff was very helpful in helping to reserve tastings at various vineyards. Easy onsite parking.

Guests at the Lamego can also savour the local cuisine for lunch and dinner. this was THE BEST hotel of our trip in portugal. Amazingly nice staff, beautiful property, and the most delicious breakfast you can imagine. Dinners in the restaurant were excellent too. Great location for exploring Douro Valley as well. We are dreaming of going back!

The interior of the rooms and the lounge was so beautiful and the owner has thought about every little detail of it. Ana was a really friendly host who welcomed us when we arrived and served breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and fresh with self made food! This is a must visit in Douro and great price-quality!

This was a lovely hotel. The lobby has an amazing view of the Douro River and so did our room with a small balcony. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and fabulous. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was exceptional. We rode the train in and took the bus out. It was very handy as the station for both is the same location very near the hotel.

The cuisine and service at the award winning Teracu restaurant on the property was simply amazing showcasing the best ingredients in a hearty but yet beautifully presented plates. Jorge, Francisca , Rafael, Maura and Alexandra were spontaneously warm and hospitable and made the Douro valley stay one of the most memorable highlights of our two and a half week trip to Portugal. Each of them were experts in their respective fields and went out of their way to make it a very special and delightful experience for us.We will surely visit this property again and recommend it to all our friends and family.. The hotel is amazing The views are breathtaking, you basically wake up and see Douro valley right from your bed. They have Chefs restaurant in the hotel. Food there is very delicious, starters, main dishes and deserts. We tried a lot there and every dish was great. Also hotel has its own farm with various herbs, fruits and vegetables, that are used then in the restaurant. They also have very clean and relaxing SPA, which is free for hotel guests.

Great view on the beautiful river Duoro valley. Many animals, that you expect to see in a zoo, live on the villa territory. A train station just 200 meters down the hill. You can swim in the covered pool, outside pool or in the river (which water is clean as the river basin upstream is a territory of UNESCO-protected national park). The villa produces its own fruits, jam, milk and yogurt, etc

Rio Moment’s was amazing. The property was gorgeous, set on the side of a mountain. They treated us like family, going out of their way to make us comfortable. We hiked along the river on their property. So relaxing and beautiful.

Cidalia and her son were outstanding, warm hosts, and showed real care towards me and my friend. It didn’t feel like we’re staying in a hotel, as much as going to visit close family. They went above and beyond to meet our requests, and have a wealth of knowledge about the region, history and gave us very detailed and practical recommendations. The views from the room were gorgeous, overlooking the river and rolling hills of vineyards. In the morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast- the son represented Portugal in competition for young chefs. It’s a feast for senses.
