Beautiful boutique hotel with a character in a quiet green area. Rooms are nicely designed and very clean. Cosy common area with a fireplace downstairs. The host is extremely friendly and accommodating. Tasty breakfast with locally produced ingredients. Definitely have to follow host’s advice for dinner place - very local simple place with small menu but food food so delicious and fresh!

We thoroughly enjoyed the delightful dinner, which included delicious local wine. The rooms were clean, spacious, and adorned with beautiful views, adding to the overall charm of our stay.

Casas da Lapa is a modern hotel ideally situated on a hill top, inside the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela. It is located within a typical mountain village, Lapa dos Dinheiros. מלון מדהים!! המלון הכי טוב שהייתי בו. הכל מושלם! הנוף, החדרים ענקיים , מצעים צחורים, מיטה ענקית, ארוחת ערב מענגת וגם ארוחת הבוקר, מסאג מטורף, 3 ברכות, מפל, נוף מרהיב, שירות מעולה!! מלון ליגה!!! שווה ביותר!

Very unique and pleasant design, lot of attention was given to all details. Wood work done to the highest level. The team were very very supportive. It felt like a family run place. Raphael was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was unbelievably good, all fresh ingredients and served beautifully. We stayed 3 night each dinner was different and tasty.

Located in Lajeosa do Mondego, municipality of Celorico da Beira – the Serra Cheese capital – Casas do Durão-Memories House is set at the base of the Estrela Ridge and offers a tranquil stay. Wunderfully decorated and clean house. The hosts were really welcoming and gave us a tour through their house of memories, that we will remember. Breakfast was a dream!

This hotel is one which has been recently built or renovated next door to a restaurant and the tourist information centre on the way into the centre on a split level site. Our room was located downstairs from the main entrance and was located away from the main road with a view of the valley. There was free parking adjacent to the property. Breakfast was a good continental buffet which included a number of local cheeses, server three floors down in a room with a view of the lower valley. There was a selection of restaurants at various price points within a short distance of the hotel in addition to the more up market one next door (we tried The central for cheaper local food). The tourist information centre next door is worth a visit to get free walking route maps (using the European coloured flash way markers) in various languages distributed by a very helpful gentleman. There are a couple of supermarkets and bakery for picnic food.
