We love the island itself also. Calm, quite place with nice nature, outstanding snorkel spots and kind people. But dont expect any party places.

Amazing resort! Carabao is a hidden gem with almost no tourism (Which is crazy to think about as its only a few kilometres away from boracay which is the biggest tourist hotspot of the phillipines) and this resort is the perfect place to stay, especially if you are a backpacker as they offer bunk beds. The restaurant is really nice, they have a good selection of both local and western dishes, service can be a bit slow at times but if you are low on time they'll be quick! The owners are super friendly and gave us information and many tips on what to do on the island. The place itself is really nice, beds are good, they have a pool table and a nice chill out zone/sunning area. The sunset is amazing, this place really does feel like paradise! I really enjoyed my stay at Lanas beach resort and I will definitely return to this wonderful island!

Matatagpuan sa Carabao Island, 10 km lang mula sa Boracay, ang The Beach House ay nag-aalok ng isang luxury boutique accommodation na may sarili nitong pribadong beach area. Wonderful! We booked 1 night in this really cool beach bungalow and it was so good that we extended our stay for 3 days (and got a good discount). It was right on the beach and felt like we were on our very own desert island, waking up to the sound of the waves and taking a swim in the fantastically clear warm water before breakfast. We didn’t see any tourists at all on the beach, just some locals taking a walk and kids playing in the water, it was surreal after staying in Boracay with all the crowds and noise! The staff gave us snorkeling stuff for free and David the owner led us out to see the incredible variety of coral, which started just a short distance from the beach and though we saw many varieties of fish, it seems that there were many more before the pandemic, but the locals have decimated the stock as there was no work for them. But the starfish were prolific, we counted 10 different colors including some really bright blue ones, but be careful of the sea urchins, they’re only on the coral, so don’t swim over the coral at low tide. Ely took us for an island tour in this amazing 6 seater off road UTV, it could go anywhere and we took off road tracks to cliff jumps, deserted beaches and caves, this is a must, which you would never find if you hired motorcycles. Now the restaurant on this fantastic balcony (or you can eat at the beach bar). The food my god was soo good, Malou and the other staff were such good cooks, with both local and foreign dishes, don’t miss the yummy spicy spareribs, the stuffed baby squid, the curry, the adobo and of course the seafood; simply delicious! We wanted to stay longer and wished we had come here first and not bothered with Boracay, so sad to leave and will defiantly be back and skip the Boracay stay!
