The place is amazing, it's a real hidden gem in the jungle of Isla Bastimentos. We were hesitant if we should stay at Isla Colon or go to Bastimentos because we didn't know how the transport between the island works, but it's really easy to get there and you can go to the beaches for a couple of dollars. Pierre and Manon were amazing hosts, they helped us with everything we needed and you can see they're doing everything they can fit their guests. The breakfasts and dinners were really tasty. The cabins are well equipped, modern and spacious. We were a bit worried about the lack of hot water but it was completely fine, I think we wouldn't use it even if it was available. All in all, the best place we stayed in during our trip to Panama, go there without any hesitation! Ask for cabin number 5 for the best view.

Carmen's place ligger i Bastimentos och har gratis WiFi, en terrass och en restaurang. We had a room in a house on a hill in the forest overlooking the sea. Lying in the hammock was really relaxing. Birds singing and the murmur of the sea. The owners from Holland are very friendly. Carmen is an excellent cook, at the same time a very nice and helpful hostess. She will be happy to advise you and help organize trips and transfers by water taxi. The joint dinners were a great experience both gastronomic and social.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool ligger i Bastimentos och har trädgårdsutsikt, en restaurang, en bar, en trädgård, en utomhuspool, en terrass och en gemensam lounge. Punta Rica Lodge is nestled in the Bastimentos island jungle, surrounded by beautiful flora (trees, colorful flowers) and fauna (amazingly rich wildlife). We loved our super friendly, open, fun and helpful hosts, Brian and Daniel, who have made us truly feel at ease and among friends in this beautiful place. Most nights we ate dinner together, since Dan cooks the most amazing and varied dishes, all from fresh, local ingredients, while Brian makes wonderful cocktails that made us feel at home and among friends, sharing stories, dreams and travel adventures. We loved the pool and the common area (living and dining room), as well as our amazing suite, the delicious and fresh meals and the smiles. Thank you. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever.

True Nature Jungle House is located in Bastimentos and offers a terrace. The property features city and sea views. Angie is the most amazing host! The jungle house she build is awesome and we've had a wonderful stay. Angie is well connected and can help arrange tours and transport. She has some great suggestions on where to eat and things to do on and off the island.  The community living on Bastimentos is lovely and the town feels like something out of an adventure novel. The house is situated right on the jungle trail to Wizard Beach, where you have a chance to spot birds and wildlife. Mere 50m from the house you have Mami's Restaurant, who is somewhat of a mother figure in town and is a great cook! There is also a small nature reserve an adventurous 20min walk from the house which is a must see on Bastimentos. Although it first looks like a garden, the reserve is a gateway to the jungle on the island. Within an hour or so we've seen sloth, capuchin monkeys, cayman and redfrogs. Also Mami's super sweet dog aptly named Princess might show up at the house and demand cuddles. She is somewhat of a local celebrity and you'd best abide.

Located in Bastimentos, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge offers private bungalows and rooms with individual hammocks and stairs that provide access to the ocean. A restaurant is also on site. It had its own nature reserve which was beautiful. Everything about this place is stunning. The receptionist was very helpful and so friendly. We nearly missed our 12pm boat from Boca's del Toro due to our poor planning. The receptionist rushed to help us and called a friend with a very fast boat! We made it just in time. Would definitely stay here again!
