We also took advantage of the offer of dinners, we were satisfied. The owners offer to rent kayaks, snorkels with goggles. They can also arrange trips and advise on what activities can be undertaken.

In our case, the special skills of Carmen to adapt breakfast and dinner to our special diet restrictions and alkergies. Then, obviously, the paradise view and decks to admire it. Also the free Kayak to vist surroundings. So, really great place.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bastimentos where guests can make the most of its pool with a view, free Wifi, private beach... Punta Rica Lodge is nestled in the Bastimentos island jungle, surrounded by beautiful flora (trees, colorful flowers) and fauna (amazingly rich wildlife). We loved our super friendly, open, fun and helpful hosts, Brian and Daniel, who have made us truly feel at ease and among friends in this beautiful place. Most nights we ate dinner together, since Dan cooks the most amazing and varied dishes, all from fresh, local ingredients, while Brian makes wonderful cocktails that made us feel at home and among friends, sharing stories, dreams and travel adventures. We loved the pool and the common area (living and dining room), as well as our amazing suite, the delicious and fresh meals and the smiles. Thank you. It was one of the most amazing experiences ever.

True Nature Jungle House is located in Bastimentos and offers a terrace. The property features city and sea views. Angie is the most amazing host! The jungle house she build is awesome and we've had a wonderful stay. Angie is well connected and can help arrange tours and transport. She has some great suggestions on where to eat and things to do on and off the island.  The community living on Bastimentos is lovely and the town feels like something out of an adventure novel. The house is situated right on the jungle trail to Wizard Beach, where you have a chance to spot birds and wildlife. Mere 50m from the house you have Mami's Restaurant, who is somewhat of a mother figure in town and is a great cook! There is also a small nature reserve an adventurous 20min walk from the house which is a must see on Bastimentos. Although it first looks like a garden, the reserve is a gateway to the jungle on the island. Within an hour or so we've seen sloth, capuchin monkeys, cayman and redfrogs. Also Mami's super sweet dog aptly named Princess might show up at the house and demand cuddles. She is somewhat of a local celebrity and you'd best abide.

Located in Bastimentos, Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge offers private bungalows and rooms with individual hammocks and stairs that provide access to the ocean. A restaurant is also on site. The bungalow is spacious and has a private deck with access to the water. The hammock was a happy surprise. We enjoyed using the kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkeling equipment. A beautiful place to stay for beach lovers. Highly recommended A++
