Situated in Christchurch, 300 metres from Canterbury Museum, The Observatory Hotel Christchurch features accommodation with a fitness centre and private parking. This is a fantastic hotel that ticks all the boxes for comfort, customer service and a sense of luxury. The staff were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The bed was amazing and so was the shower. We also loved how the hotel was decorated; lots to see (artwork, books, etc... not your standard hotel lobby) and the location was perfect for us: short walking distance to everything in Christchurch center. In the same courtyard as the hotel you can find a wine bar which is a lovely place to spend an evening. I cannot think of a single thing that I would suggest to change in this hotel. Our stay was simply perfect.

Awesome town, one of my top in the South Island. If you like nature and outdoor activities, this is your place! Water activities in the lake, roads to cycle, trails to bike, mountains to hike, Queenstown 1h-awesome-drive away... endless! Lots of campers, great vibe in town, is not big but has just enough facilities to be comfortable.
