Personnel were super friendly and extremely helpful! Bikes and single person Kayaks were available for free... Great view from the cabins... Cabin 4 was my favorite!! Other cabins are also awesome but 4 was much better than 6 or 7. Jose Antonio, Yoli, and Roberto are awesome! And I'm sorry to the cleaning ladies cause I didn't get their names but the rooms were impeccable.. even though I didn't get their names, I left the cleaning ladies their tips each day though! Overall this place was one of the most beautiful places I've been to!! Thanks Bacalar my love and staff!!

There is a restaurant within walking distance and access to the lake is nearby as well. Location is out of town, but nearby. In 20-25 minutes (walking)you can be in the thick of things. Just a few minutes drive with car. The hosts are wonderful! Flor and Simon care deeply about providing you comfort, rest, and relaxation in a quiet beautiful environment. They are prompt in responding to questions and concerns. Really, a lovely place to stay!

Located in Chetumal, Hotel "ala Residencias" features free bikes, outdoor swimming pool, terrace, and free WiFi. Everything was great. We asked if we could get a ground floor room due to my wife having difficulty with stairs, this was organised for us. On arrival we were two hours early but were allowed to check in early once the room was cleaned. On seeing the views from a first floor room we asked if there was any possibility of changing room this was also allowed. Other than a fantastic view the room was large, clean and very well equipped with self catering facilities. The bed was also very comfortable.

The food and drinks at the hotel are amazing and the staff are so friendly. Only a short drive into the center of town.
