We loved the relaxing and quiet atmosphere a bit far from Ella town. Good a la carte breakfast where you can choose from Continental with egg or Sri Lankan.

This was our favorite accommodation in all of Sri Lanka out of 7 places. Breathtaking location, breakfast with monkeys and special and rare bird species. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What made our job a lot easier was that they continuously helped us with transportation within the city with their own tuktuks and all this at a good price. The staff are very nice and helpful, special thanks to Milan, Dinesh and Priyanantha. We can recommend you in all areas, please stay the same. Thank you for welcoming us!

EVERYTHING! views to the nine arches bridge is the best one you can ask for. little cabin has everything you need; shampoo, gel, hair drier, water.. breakfast was served on the balcony and was delicious and the best part was our host Upali. such a nice person that made everything easy for us. 1000% recommended

All of his recommendations for activities, transport options and places to eat were perfect. The rooms were a great size, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful and more importantly absolutely delicious. If my family and I are ever back in Ella we will 100% be staying at Moon Rock.

The staff was really friendly and helping. The view was magnificient, as was the room. Hot streaming water, a bath, good bed.. It s far enough from ella to enjoy the relaxing and quite nature but also at walking distance from ella. We loved our daily walks to ella, watching the train as we were walking... 😍

Really comprehensive meal options with different fruits and western meal. The staffs are really nice and also share Sri Lanka stories and their own background which let us be more understanding local. This stay was my birthday celebration stay, and the staffs prepare room decoration for me with flowers which make me feel so warm and welcome. We had a great stay in here and will miss this place a lot.

We were super surprised at how big the room was, especially since we paid so little! The balcony was also a lovely addition. Big big big bonus points for the king size bed - loved it. The staff were extremely kind and they offer a tuk tuk service to bring you to and from Ella city center. Also, right on top of the hotel (literally 2’ uphill walk) is the 3arch bridge - the least famous sibling to the 9 arch one. We were lucky enough to see trains passing there and it was wonderful! We can only recommend! Thanks again.

The view was fantastic. So beautiful and serene. You would occasionally see the train go by. Train station just downstairs so very conveniently located. Dave was an amazing host. Breakfast was custom made every morning, with a lot of love and attention. I absolutely loved staying at this hotel and I would love to go back for a longer period.
