Rooms are very big as well as the bathroom. Feels like a real treat. Everything is new and thought of. The beds were super comfy beyond what we are used to in Japan. Our room was facing the lake so we had a spectacular view and could see the nightly fireworks from the room as the wall facing the lake was actually a window. Definitely recommend!

Toyako Guest House Ponkotan is situated in Lake Toya, in the Toyako Onsen district. With free WiFi, this 1-star hostel offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. Lovely staff, very cozy atmosphere in the common room. Shower room was the largest I've seen on any trip to Japan, which is excellent for taller people. Beds were comfortable and had good privacy. Excellent value for location.
