Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Iruka Hotel is set right in front of the ocean in Shiretoko, a world heritage site. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms were super clean, looked like brand new tatami mats. Staff was friendly, gave us lots of travel tips as we ate dinner in the common room. Loved using the kitchen instead of going to a restaurant.

When they saw that our elder kid did not eat the adult food at breakfast, they offered to switch to a children's plate from the next meal. They also found our younger kid had forgotten her stuffed animal after our departure, contacted me and sent it home. Thus, the service provided by the staff was excellent. Highly appreciated.

Excellent location, next to the train station and the bus station. They have onsen at the hotel, which is great. Very good breakfast served in the morning, with a variety of westerner and asian food.

Hotel Kifu Hotel Shiretoko is a 10-minute drive from Shiretoko National Park, which is assigned as a UNESCO World Heritage. Checking out of this hotel was a sad experience. I stayed for one night only and it was superb. Amazing location and view of the sea, amazing food, and an out of this world private open air hot spring, in a snowy wooden cabin. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, I needed help with a few things and they really went above and beyond. Even included a free ride from the bus station. I want to return here every year.

Set in Shari, 41 km from Abashiri Port and 43 km from Tokyo University of Agriculture, Okhotsk House Shari offers a garden and air conditioning. The Okhotsk House is very spacious and beautiful. Well located, in the center of Shari, close to all amenities. The house is very pleasant to live in. The Japanese-style room is particularly comfortable and I enjoyed sleeping there. The bathroom is large and perfect for a relaxing moment. There is also a nice kitchen, although I didn't use it. (There are some very good restaurants in Shari!) The heating reinforced the cozy character of the house, while outside you can watch the snow fall. All this in a magnificent setting, because the Shari-Shiretoko region is truly magnificent to discover... The host, from the real estate agency, is very friendly and responded to all my requests. Thank you for this lovely stay in Shari! I would love to come back soon again.
