Located by the harbour in Höfn, this property is surrounded by Hornafjördur’s outdoor activity possibilities. Guests can enjoy mountaineering, snowmobile glacier trips and ice climbing in the area. Nice modern hotel for a good price, a rarity in Iceland! We've paid more for hostels with a shared bathroom. Here we had a clean room with private bathroom, complementary coffee and tea, and a great view to top it off :-) Definitely try the Pakhús restaurant nearby: great langoustines and lamb! We walked toward the minigolf at midnight to see the northern lights and had a great night's sleep afterwards.

Boasting panoramic views towards the famous Vatnajökull glacier and the surrounding mountains, Árnanes Country Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. The harbour town of Höfn is only 6 km away. Located near to the city of Hofn. Arnanes really is one of the highlight our of trip as we spend a good times here during our stay. The staff at the restaurant is very polite as well and the unit is like a small terrace house made up mainly by timber. A short drive will get you to Hofn where you can spend a good dinner there and drove back to the hotel for a good rest. Recommended to those who visiting Hofn, Arnanes would be a good choice to spend your night here :)

Situated next to Iceland’s Ring Road, this family-run farm hotel offers brightly decorated rooms with a TV and a private bathroom. The Hoffell Hot Springs are 25 km away. Room is clean and roomy. Shower is hot and strong. Excellent free breakfast. Free coffee all day. Easy check in. Just drop the key in a basket at the front desk when check out. Big parking lot in the front and at the back. Came back after 10 years it didn't disappoint us.

Hotel Skaftafell asub suurepärases kohas, kust avaneb võrratu vaade Islandi kõrgeimale mäele Hvannadalshnjúkurile ja Euroopa suurimale liustikule Vatnajökullile. Breakfast was nice. Also English breakfast. The room was clean, nice place to stay. And the best is glacier 15 min walk right behind the hotel. No problem with parking. Cattle and tea, coffee in the room DIY.

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull. EVERYTHING IS VERY GOOD…. THE BEST STAY EVER!!!!

Extremely nice and friendly staff, wide choice of breakfast, good wi-fi connection, excellent service to inform when aurora is outside! Wonderful food for dinner. I would like to return :)
