Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel in the very center of Ireland, just a 5 minute walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of central Athlone. Lovely lady at reception. Was a very warm welcoming person and a great choice for front of house. Facilities were great, easily organised things with reception. Good rooms with large mirrors and parking with in view of the room. In the town and yet it doesn't feel that way. Lovely area and would visit again.

Surrounded by magnificent parkland and nestled on the shores of Lough Ennell, Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa form a perfect country escape. Great stay, only 1 night but made the most of the sauna. Staff friendly, food amazing, rooms luxurious. Walked the grounds to the pond, saw swans, cows, really relaxing stay.
