The fire on the way in was really home like, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was extremely spacious and lovely and warm. The balcony was really nice too. The breakfast is fantastic. Every dish was served piping hot.

Nestled against the banks of the River Barrow and surrounded by luscious green grounds, the 4-star Woodford Dolmen Hotel Carlow is located just outside Carlow. The ambiance was delightful. The architecture and the cleanliness were key.

With elegant décor, the rooms at the Talbot Hotel Carlow have en-suite bathrooms with deluxe toiletries and fluffy towels. Rooms also feature TVs, free Wi-Fi and a 24 hour room service menu. Staff in Reception, bar and bistro were immaculate dressed, very efficient and so friendly. Will definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Mim and Janie's cottage. They were very friendly and hospitable and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed chatting with them about life and their horses. The cottage was incredibly clean and cozy and the bathroom was modern. We really enjoyed the warm breakfast they brought in the morning. The grounds of the cottage were beautiful and we enjoyed looking at the scenery. A lovely stay all around! Thank you so much Mim and Janie for a wonderful stay. Love, Octav and Elena.
