Situated in Iboih, 200 metres from Iboih Beach, Santi Garden Bungalows features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a private beach area. Santi and her brother Robi were very welcoming and warm people. They made us feel home. Even after check-out Robi helped me out with the motorbike, making sure that I get to my new place. The garden was very well maintained. We got soap, toiletpaper, fresh towels and free drinking water. Beautiful place in Iboih! Thank you

If you want to have a good time and SEE ORANGUTANS this is the place, the team (we had two guides) knows the place like the palm of their hand, they split and search, thus, 2x chance to see orangs!! I consider this an unbeatable technique. While on our tour, we met some people that told us they saw 2 orangs in 2 days, a couple that saw 1 in their whole tour, we saw 8 orangs in just 6 hours or so!! first we saw a teen orang that started following us from the tree tops, then we crossed paths with a mama orang and her baby orang, then a single male adult, then a couple male-female, one more young adult and, THIS IS THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO ME IN A LONG TIME, we were tubing back down the river to the guest house and we saw this HUGE orang, it looked almost 2m and like +200lbs Breakfast was good, super good KopiSusu, omelette, banana pancakes, everything was delicious!

We also used their taxi service from Medan airport. Perfect stay in Bukit Lawang!

Facing the beachfront, Jungle Inn Bukit lawang offers 2-star accommodation in Bukit Lawang and features a garden, terrace and restaurant. The accommodation provides evening entertainment and free... Where to begin. From the moment we arrived (at 10.30pm might I add, when the staff picked us up from the car park), we were warmly welcomed and looked after. Everyone was so kind. They all knew our names and provided exceptional service. The view from the restaurant is incredible and probably the best in Bukit Lawang being on the corner of the street with a path to the river to swim. You can sit there for hours taking in the view and ordering delicious food. The room was lovely and spacious. Very clean. I was worried about creepy crawlies but only saw butterflies. Now for the trek. The staff arranged our 2N3D trek with Ebo and Anen and the chef (whose name we have forgotten but the food was some of the best we have ever had). This was one of the best experiences we have ever had. Both guides were knowledgeable, friendly, caring and gave us the most memorable time. Ebo’s English is fantastic. He was so kind to us and taught us so much in the jungle. Anen prepared us fresh fruit on every trek break. Both had a great sense of humour and helped us see 5 orangutang and other wildlife. It was so relaxing and serene. We couldn’t recommend them more. We were so sad when it was over and are missing it already.

The hosts and the staff were super friendly and very helpful to make our short stay in Lake Toba fulfilling. They helped arrange scooter rentals and lended me a large bicycle since the rental bicycles in town are all medium sized. And they provided detailed information on where to go on the island. The food was also great. Breakfast was big and tasty. And dinner seemed like it was home cooked. We mostly ate vegetarian except for grilled fish once which was also excellent.
