Hotel in Río Dulce
In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place. What did we like? All of it! The rooms are tastefully decorated. They were very comfy, despite being in the middle of nature. Attentive staff, picked us up to and fro Rio Dulce. Good food, cold beers. Very refreshing to be able to jump in the river when hot!
Hotel in Río Dulce
El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. The place is really beautiful, when you are there, you don’t feel like using internet, just do nothing or read a book, sometime swim in the river. It’s a wonderful place to recharge yourself. Once we arrived, we saw the place, we extend one more night. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, food was really good. Me and my husband had good chat with Tim (the owner), he is really funny and shared lots of interesting stories with us. We were a bit sad to leave this paradise, El Hotelito Perdido is one of our favorite place during the trip in Guatemala. Unforgettable experience…

Among the various facilities of this property are a shared lounge, a garden and barbecue facilities.... Breakfast was delicious and prices were comparable to restaurants outside of hotel. Hotel also offered an hour or two (don't remember clearly) of free little foot paddling boats, which was fun to pass the time. The hotel is nice and secure as well with security outside of resort. Loved that they were pet friendly as well, so I got to bring my pup along!

Hotel in Río Dulce
Located in Río Dulce and with Castle of San Felipe de Lara reachable within 6.4 miles, Linda Vista provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a restaurant.... Amazing stay! If you're coming to Rio Dulce this is the place to stay! Family run, very well kept place. The photos & description on booking.com don't do this place justice - it is much better than we expected! Very clean!! The pool is perfect to cool down & the rooms are spacious. We stayed for 6 nights in the end and many people came only for 1 night. This is the perfect place to slow down and relax if you have been travelling for a while like us - so we advise that you stay here for at least a few nights and enjoy the peacefulness. The owner speaks English - the rest of the staff don't but they are all very friendly and done everything to help us. They will pick you up by boat right at the shuttle stop in Rio so it is a really easy transfer to get there. Every day they took us into the town by a really nice 10 minute boat ride. They can book other trips for you - we went for a boat trip to Livingston. And they also booked our onward shuttle to Guatemala City for us. 10/10 service 👍 Rio Dulce town is crazy. The contrast between the chaos in the town and the tranquility of Linda Vista was perfect for us.
Hotel in El Higuerito
Located in El Higuerito, a few steps from Ribera Rio Dulce Beach, Tenamit Maya has a number of amenities including a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Guests can enjoy mountain views. It was a very nice stay. The staff was very nice and the food was tasty (we got huge portions). We swam in the river, went zip line and kayaking. It is very quiet and pleasant around. Beautiful place. There were some mosquitoes, but that's obvious if you book a house in such a place. And the location is great.

It was hard to find the parking to the hotel. When we booked it the description did not specify that the parking was across the Rio Dulce River and that we needed to take a boat to get to the hotel. After asking around with the locals we found a back door to the hotel but they did not let us in because it was only for the staff so we had to go all the way back around the town over the bridge to find the parkin place. After that ordeal everything when on wheels.
Lovely hotel with comfortable and well sized rooms. The shower was hot and had good pressure - this has been pretty much impossible for us to find in Guatemala so far so a real plus point! The staff were very helpful and friendly, making sure we made our early bus from the town (the hotel is a short boat ride away from the main town centre of Rio Dulce - no bad thing as we weren't impressed with the town). The food in the restaurant was very tasty.
Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges
Great location off the main Rio Dulce, with a great central relaxing area. Good range of activities on offer, including kayaking, walking and swimming, as well as a number of paid walks and visits. Take the hotel’s own launch from Rio Dulce, rather than the public launch, as it is better value and quicker.
Río Dulce
I enjoyed my stay in the hostel! I checked in at 11.30 pm and that was no problem at all. The room and bathroom were very clean, the wifi was decent enough to get some work done and Flor even warmed up my breakfast after my meeting ended. Would recommend it if you stay the night in Rio Dulce town!
The Hotelito is the place to go to explore Rio Dulce. Superbe vegetarian food, relax, great vibes, overall well-run hostel. Kayaks to rent, wonderful location on the river with a deck and comfy rooms. Good showers and bathroom facilities too. Plenty of tours!
Río Dulce
One of my favorite places in Guatemala and definitely Rio Dulce. Beautiful spot in nature, peaceful and love the cottages! Comfortable bed, warm shower and good food at the restaurant.
