Tortugal Boutique River Lodge er staðsett í ánni Rio Dulce, nálægt kastala frá 16. öld og er baðað í næstum stöðugri andvara frá ströndinni en þar er boðið upp á svalandi og hressandi stað. everything about it ! the rooms are lovely , the location is perfect and the activities (kayaking, swimming around the property, taking a boat to the river, walking in the woods) in the property were fun! the food was excellent throughly the day including breakfast. lunch and dinner and the drinks are delicious. the staff and especially Angela and Ruby, were just so lovely and are So welcoming and professional. they helped us with everything. from the minute we arrived until we left, even with taking a bus back to Antigua and arranged the driver, taking a boat day trip and just made everything feel so nice. Angela is an exceptional caring person and made us feel so good during the entire stay. thank you Angela for making our stay so special.

El Hotelito Perdido er lítið frumskógar athvarf staðsett miðsvæðis í Rio Dulce-þjóðgarðinum. Loved how much wildlife was around! Tim & Alejandra are phenomenal hosts! The hammocks are great too! The tours they offer are top as well!

There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar er staðsett í Izabal, 45 km frá Castillo de San Felipe de Lara og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, verönd og veitingastað. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Lívingston. Lovely boutique hotel. Loved the unique style of accommodation. Very friendly staff. Probably best value for money so far on the trip.

Hotel La Casa Rosada er með garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar í Lívingston. Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er herbergisþjónusta og upplýsingaborð ferðaþjónustu, auk ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. I loved the waterfront location - in the morning you get to watch the sun rise from your bed. So incredibly perfect. The view was the best part. After that, it was the incredibly kind and helpful staff. There is also part of the dock where you can hammock with a beautiful water view. You can easily get a tour to two of the main attractions - playa blanca and 7 altars

Hotel El Reformador er staðsett í Puerto Barrios og býður upp á garð, verönd, veitingastað og bar. Þetta 4 stjörnu hótel býður upp á ókeypis WiFi, herbergisþjónustu og sólarhringsmóttöku. It was centrally located near harbor restaurants. We felt safe there. They had English speaking staff at the front desk and they arranged an English speaking taxi for us that arrived promptly at 6:00 a.m. The room was clean and had plenty of hot water. The building felt very safe.

The hotel is actually much nicer than the photos. Our room was upgraded and we were given an amazing room right next to the water and marina. The pool is large and very clean, And the food at the restaurant was excellent, really good quality, so although a little more expensive than in some places, it was definitely worth it.

Finca Tatin Hotel er staðsett í miðjum frumskóginum, 3 km frá miðbæ Livingston, og býður upp á stóran garð, verönd með garðhúsgögnum og hengirúmssvæði. Amazing Location! The staff is exceptionally friendly, competent and always helpful when it comes to organzing your activities. The owners are easy going and a lot of fun to talk to. Food is great, too!
