By Ullswater Lake, Patterdale Hotel offers home-cooked food, a garden terrace and lounges with fireplaces. Hotel Patterdale is between 2 scenic mountain ranges. The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.

He is friendly yet organised and runs a tight ship. Exactly what we needed as it takes all the stress away. The day before pre-order system for breakfast made our mornings much more relaxed which with two older kids was valuable to us. Jim was also very accomodating helping us with anything we needed, be it an extra heater or fresh towels - and we loved the daily muffins. The food here is incredible, both the range of choice and the quality, all freshly made too. Rooms are spacious, clean and have real charm. We couldn't have hoped for a more pleasant 4 night stay and our two children thoroughly enjoyed their first ever B&B experience in their two floor 'suite'. We have had to warn them though that this is probably the best they will ever stay in, downhill from here. We hope to be back next year.

Set in the peaceful village of Pooley Bridge, 1863 Restaurant with Rooms is less than 500 metres from the shores of beautiful Lake Ullswater. Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and excellent service.

The lodge was spotless and furnishings were so comfy. The owners have paid great attention to detail and their is everything you could possibly need. The views from the balcony is wonderful. Beautiful touches such as prosecco and fresh flowers on arrival. The hosts are on site due to being a working farm and they are so friendly nothing is to much for them. Only 10 mins walk into poorly bridge.
