Quiet inn with big heart, fantastic staff, great food, beautiful local people to chat with, comfortable room. It was the highlight of our trip. Wendy took us under her wing immediately and ensured we had a table for the much anticipated Sunday roast. Will definitely return!

I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. The room is absolutely lovely. They provided many extras. I had Prosecco and an IPA waiting for me when I arrived. The bed is fabulous. The shower was good water pressure and very warm. The linens were very plush and towels huge. There was tea, coffee, hot chocolate provided. I ate dinner there and had a wonderful dining experience. Andrew fixed me a bag of food items for the early departure since I would miss breakfast. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. I would caution that if you’re a very light sleeper, there are some sounds that might wake you. The cars leaving might be the loudest but they are gone, but I was there when a very large dinner party was happening. I will definitely go there again. It was only a 10 minute drive (easy drive for an American) back to the car rental return. Then a bus to the airport.

Stayed here to catch an early morning flight from Bristol. Lovely location for woodland walks, a game of tennis, a swim, spa, decent food and coming back to an old English style comfy room.

Centrally located in North Somerset and within 20 minutes from Bristol, Weston super mare, Clevedon, Cheddar Caves and Wells. The property was lovely and comfortable and we had the best few nights of sleep in the super comfy bed. We also had a very tasty breakfast from the very friendly owner.

The Old Police House ligger i Cheddar, 29 km från Bristol Temple Meads station och 29 km från Bristol Cathedral, i ett område där man kan ägna sig åt vandring. Very warm and lovely welcome from Lyn. The Old Police House is a very special place, small but there‘s everything you need. Comfortable bed, cooking place, fridge… Lyn recommended us a few good places to go out and have diner, within walking distance. We would really come back once. Thank you Lyn for your kindness and helpfulness.

It is close to the gorge and within walking distance of a number of good restaurants. Our room was well decorated and had a nice big window overlooking the pool and gorgeous landscaping. The breakfast was delicious and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Everyone was welcoming and great to work with.
