Location was ideal for visiting other places and a beautiful setting especially the sunrise on a good day... comfortable, relaxing house and room, very quiet...hosts Ben and V were very welcoming and nothing was too much if needed anything . breakfast was fab especially the toast...lovely local pub within walking distance The Pheasant inn... great value for money would definitely book again.

The Dash Farmhouse offers self-catering accommodation just 4 miles from Bassenthwaite village, 37 km from Windermere. The property is set in 200 acres of farmland and features free private parking. Very special place. This gorgeous farmhouse was the perfect home base for our family visit to the lake district. You could spend your entire trip just enjoying the immediate surroundings. Everything was clean, comfortable, and like the pictures but more beautiful!

Lakeside Country Guest House is situated in front of Bassenthwaite Lake with mountain views which can be enjoyed from the front bedrooms. It is ideally located between from Keswick and Cockermouth. Very lovely cottage in the center of lake disctrict - outside of the main cities but close to everything. with amasing owners, ready to help us on many occasions. They gave us very accurate recommendations for restaurant which eased our mind - as they were really tasty and not pricey. We had the chance to stay in the double room with view on the lake, it worth it so much. They also offered some lunch packs for our hikes - fruit, sandwich, water and cakes for 8£ each. Due to the weather condition we did not try to have our breakfast outside, but on a sunny day, I would definitely recommending to try.

Accommodation was excellent, everything you needed under one small roof!! The location was superb with lovely surrounding views, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Our stay at Apple Tree Cottage was thoroughly enjoyable. The property was very well looked after and immaculately clean. The owner who greeted us was friendly and pleasant and supplied us with a lovely welcome hamper. We loved the finishing touches such as a welcome note with our names written on the front door porch blackboard. It was a nice thought and made us feel special. Thank you. 😊👌
